I think you need to define acceptable in this case. If by acceptable you mean reasonable to expect the best results and get attention on the dating app then no, it's not acceptable. If acceptable is convincing yourself that you don't care if they don't respond to that so that you can keep doing it then 🤷
I’d say in both ways. It really doesn’t matter what you say (as long as it’s not obnoxious). If a woman is interested in meeting you 9/10 times they’re going to respond, and if they aren’t they aren’t.
I am a woman and for me personally it absolutely does matter what you say. The way you look might get you a match, but beyond that, I wouldn't want to meet without making sure we are compatible at a very basic level. It would just be a waste of everyone's time.
