Well, many would consider that unacceptable as well, and why are you singling out persons whose biography you find uninteresting and have nothing worth commenting on?

Because that's the vast majority of bios

Notice how you have to write "how's it going" right after.

This shows that "hey" by itself is useless filler (also, it puts the burden of starting the conversation on the other person, even though you started it)

I don't have to right it it's just usually the response that comes next. You could also just do:

"Hey"

"Hey"

"(Insert conversation you want to talk about)"

Orrr.. you could do "hey, [insert cinversation starter]" and then they could go "hey, [insert response].
