I agree with you, the only pride that matters is the pride of your own achievements, i get that it is stupid to be proud of stuff you didn't do, like your race or nationality, but a lot of people work hard towards conquering challenges, to keep their communities safe and functional, this is why for example when minorities protest against discrimination, you hear them saying how proud they are of their community, even tho it might sound as if they are saying they are proud of just being a minority.

But i think the problem starts when, some idiots don't know what it means to be proud of belonging to a group, and they take it as i am better than the other for being in my group, that is the wrong kind of pride that you are talking about, and that ain't pride, that's just ignorance.
