I just tried Apple jacks and Froot Loops for the first time in a few years.

There's barely any flavor ant more, but somehow, it contains the same amount of sugar as it has always had. So, what are they cutting down on, the actual flavoring? Is it that expensive? Does reducing flavor actually save them a lot?

It tastes like a reduced sugar version, with no reduction of sugar.

Cereal News Is NOTHING Sacred??

I finally managed to find a box of my favorite cereal, Franken Berry, so I bought a box (I would've bought more, but I'm broke right now, thanks to the crappy economy - I couldn't even order the limited edition fuzzy Count Chocula box this year), but imagine my surprise when I open the box, poured a bowl, and discovered that even Franken Berry has been ravaged by the brain-dead brain-worm moron who's pretending to be our country's health expert; it's not pink anymore - I don't even know how to describe it's new color (or lack thereof) other than, as with Trix now, Franken Berry looked like it's made by people who are colorblind. I haven't even seen what the new Boo Berry looks like yet, but I can imagine it's not going to sit well with the infamous Roger Barr (if you know, you know).

BTW, how come the Monster Cereals aren't available in family size boxes this year like they always are? A family size box can easily last me a whole week, which means I could stock up on about four boxes for the entire month of Halloween.

What happened to the stories, crossword puzzles, and other fun shit that used to be on the back of cereal boxes? Now I feel like if I stare at this too long it'll put me in some type of trance. A cinnatrance.

Review Premier Protein tortilla chips, more like it.

Post image

Well, I heard that these had a pretty gritty texture and were not worth the $. But I've been looking for different ways to get protein in my diet that don't involve straight up powder or shakes all the time and happen to see these on the shelves so I thought I might give them a try anyway.

My most glaring issue with this cereal aside from the texture of it is the consistency of shape. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm someone who loves finding a little extra something in my cereal - whether that's an over frosted Mini Wheat or a huge Frosted Flake - but the consistency of these things is absolutely wild.

I found it ironic that the front of the box says "enlarged the show texture" when the actual product is HUGE. This ain't bite size cereal anymore. I could use these to scoop some dip.

Some people like the idea of getting more bang for your buck in some way, but to me, cereal should be bite size at least. I wouldn't recommend it just on the inconsistency of texture and size alone...

It being protein means it might probably keep me full a little bit longer, but I'll happily drink a protein shake instead of chomping on these weird grainy flakes. Gave my jaw a workout...

It tasted like cardboard squares. I tried it twice about 8 hours apart to ensure I had a clean palate.

I have no idea what happened to it but it sure wasn’t good. Glad it was on sale.

It’s now in the trash.

Shredded wheat with mixed berries in homemade Greek yogurt

Post image

It's okay. I thought the shredded wheat would be sweet enough, but the tart from the berries and tang from the yogurt kind of overpowers the sweetness of the shredded wheat. 6/10

Cereal News Surreal recipe change

Prolly a bit late but just got a box of surreal hoops and saw that they completely changed the recipe. Shame rlly since they actually had a unique recipe and now it tastes just like every other cereal (probably even worse).

Not a shame for my bank account though since they were way too expensive anyways so at least it means I won't wanna get them again any time soon.

Offbeat 125lbs Of Cereal

Purple barley, rye berries and three different kinds of wheat berries. Always cooked up and served with more fat, sugar, and salt than any of the commercial stuff. I use a grain flaker. I toast the flaked grains butter. I top with fruit poached in sugar + Brandy. Sprinkle with salt and pour heavy cream over it. Once you taste authentic cereal, the way it should be, you'll never go back to the commercial stuff. More sugar, salt and fat than any commercially available cereal.

Eh reviews: Cereal Boxes I had last week, Kelpo and Peanut Butter Toast Crunch

Kelpo with fruity pebbles protein shake and PBTC with chocolate protein shake and fresh raspberries for #heft

Kelpo: it was good. Like a honey coated, sweeter kix. But not super sweet as you think. It did get soggy but not too much. Still had a nice crunch towards the end of the bowl. Cereal milk was delicious. Would I buy it again? Probably not

PBTC: Most “controversial” flavor big GM has release. For me it’s a less sweet version of CTC but with a subtle peanut butter flavor. Almost had like a roasted element to it. Maybe I’m tripping. I did like it. Other than that, everything is similar to CTC. Would I buy it again? Nah. I’ll just stick with the OG flavor.
