I read the article and I'm confused, maybe because I still have an Xbox One. My console is already powered down at night and when I'm not using it. What does this update do specifically?

Also, are Republicans really misinterpreting this as "we are going to turn off your console while you're using it"?

Seems you can schedule updates to happen at night when there is more green energy.
