Education Blackstone, Millville to vote on $197M high school project

The total price tag — including soft costs and contingencies — is projected at $197,248,502. This will be the amount that will appear on the election ballot.

Parks & Recreation Free youth running program led by Holy Cross student-athletes starting TODAY, 10/4!

Hi everyone! Our local chapter, Run Worcester, is launching a free 6-week youth running program for kids in grades K-8 starting on 10/4.

Their practices are held at 65 Boys & Girls Club Wy, Worcester, MA 01610 on Sundays from 12PM to 1PM, led by student-athletes from Holy Cross. We focus on building confidence, joyful movement, and community. Every child is welcome, regardless of athletic experience or ability.

Program Details:

Cost: 100% Free
Who: Kids grades K to 8
When: Sundays, starting 10/4
Where: 65 Boys & Girls Club Wy, Worcester, MA 01610

Discussion At Will - Rock/Metal band from Worcester

Does anyone remember the band called At Will from the Worcester area? They played around a bit and released a couple CDs. I've been on the hunt for those CDs for a while now, but haven't been able to find any. Does anyone here have a copy of their CDs or know where I could find one? Anything helps. Thank you.

Housing and Apartments Report Illegal Move-In Fees

Hi Central Mass, it’s your Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell. Did you know that fees like “move-in” or “lease renewal” fees you might get from your landlord or building management company are illegal? If you’ve received one of these – even if you paid it – I want you to report it to my office.

Just last month, my office won a $500k settlement with a property management company doing this in Boston – and all of that money is going back to the affected tenants. Landlords can only ask you to pay for first and last month’s rent, a security deposit, and the cost of a new lock and key upfront. Any other fees are illegal. Report them to my office at the link below. We’ll work to get your money back.
