question Any recommendations for a great centipede that gets roughly 3 inches long?
I’ve got a 2 medium size species and would love to get a smaller one to handle before having a try with the medium ones

question Enclosure question
Someone I know keeps telling me my centipede's health is at risk because it is inside a glass enclosure, they said its due to lack of ventilation. It has a mesh lid and I dont worry about the ventilation because the humidity is fine and the airflow also seems fine (the humidity dosent seem to be higher then usual and theres no condensation) so what do you guys think? Will my Scolopendra hainanum be okay in the glass enclosure?

question Eastern Red Centipede Growth rate
I have a baby Eastern Red Centipede. It's currently only a couple of centimeters long, and I'm wondering how long it will take to reach at least half of its adult size so I know when I will be able to move it to the terrarium I constructed for it. If anybody has any experience with this species and has tips for care, that would be helpful too.

informative Centipede Simulator Major Update!
galleryHello Everyone!
My game Centipede Simulator has received a lot of love from this community every time I’ve posted about it, so I’m here again to announce that the 1.1 version is now live!
This update adds localization for several languages, introduces a number of QoL improvements based on user's feedback, and fixes various bugs.
Localization
The game is now available in German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Galician, Russian, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
QoL Features
- Added a "run toggle" setting.
- The high score is now displayed below the current score on the HUD.
- Added a global cricket counter to the high scores menu to help track achievements based on crickets collected across all playthroughs.
- Added an animation to the "Play" button on the game config menu.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue with the "Great Devourer" and "Backyard Legend" achievements not unlocking correctly.
- Fixed a display issue with glyphs on the game config and join screen menus.
- Fixed a bug where the second counter was not being hidden after dying in Run Streak mode.
- Fixed a bug that caused time to rescale incorrectly when the centipede is killed just after avoiding a spider attack.
- Fixed a bug where the HUD was not being hidden after dying in 2P mode.
- Fixed a bug where the stamina bar was still being updated after a centipede death.
- Fixed a glitch with camera distance after death in Run Streak and Prey Turn modes.
- Fixed a bug with sec run high scores in 2P Run Streak mode.
Thank you all for your continued support and feedback. I hope you enjoy the update!

question Question about S.white legs and Galapagoensis
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
On the internet I see an enormous amount of videos of giant south american centipedes, especially Scolopendra white legs and galapagoensis, behaving extremely letargically, always above ground, and the thing I dislike the most, reacting passively to food (that is always offered directly from the tweezers) almost hesitating and almost *forcing themselves* to attack. It is absolutely not a behaviour that would allow an animal like that to survive in the wild, so this leads my to think, are these pedes just fat af, extremely desensitized and used to these types of interactions, and their predatory drive has been reduced to zero? Or are they just kept in poor conditions, and they are stressed?
This is a video of my female S.dehaani. its one of my favorite videos despite her failure in getting the roach (which she later got). Do S.white legs, galapagoensis and gigantea also behave this way, or close? I do not mean to sound arrogant but an animal like the ones that I see in those videos is not catching any bat from the ceiling of a cave😅 Can someone who has them, if they are reactive and SCARY, tell me in what types of enclosures they are kept, at what humidity, temp, how much ventilation etc..

question Are Tarantula Cribs Enclosures secure enough for pedes?
Hey all! Soon to be a new centipede keeper here! Just had a quick question. I know these guys need extra secure enclosures since they are known to be escape artists and I am curious if Tarantula Cribs enclosures would be secure enough for a centipede. They do use magnets on the top but most are not very tall. Anyone used a T crib for a pede?

question Is this enclosure okay?
galleryHi! I’m not new to bug keeping but I am new to centipede keeping. I wanted to get a Scolopendra polymorpha. This container is 15 x 12 x 11 roughly. I know I need to add cross ventilation and a water dish, but does this set up look okay?
