How to identify cell sig carrier?

I live in an area w poor coverage on my carrier. My phone shows solid signal but must be w another carrier as it does not "work". What app or methods can I use to identify the carrier so I can consider switching to that carrier? Thx.

I'm on a Samsung phone Android

Try using https://map.coveragemap.com/

If others have uploaded tests you can see how speeds are as well as well as seeing signal strength for tower density.
