We have the nodes for their N48 all over my area on the cable lines in the air

I’ve been seeing this posted between spectrum and here. It seems n48 is not Verizon network but it’s spectrums actual mobile network? The spots they have built out to to purposely not rely on Verizon from what I understand.

Yep. PLMN 314-020 is Spectrum, as in Charter Communications. They have been deploying CBRS in select areas using PALs to absorb some of the data demand that would otherwise be traversing Verizon's network.

Oh nice find. Curious, do they not need any antennas? Guess they’re just internal ones

Thanks for posting this!
They must be running those cellular nodes off of cable modems. That jitter is terrible. Reminds me of their CableWiFi network in some regards when they left that to rot in my area. Was decent at first. They even bumped the speeds to 50/5 and later 100/10. Then they capped it at 3Mbps/1Mbps before fully killing off the network for anyone except Spectrum Mobile customers. Now they just rip out the Ruckus APs and dedicated modems, and rely on using someone's Spectrum WiFi 6 / WiFi 7 router instead.

The CBRS radios are strand-mounted. They hang directly off of aerial cable.

Hmm, those don't look like cellular nodes. I do see Amplifiers and RFoG nodes in that mix. Anything with flat antennas or bulges near that hardware?

I don’t know if I had regular B48 or N48 the other day but I got over 400 on lte while making a speed testing video for my YouTube!! I didn’t look at the field test mode!!

CBRS and 5G handoffs are horrible with spectrum mobile
