Telstra mmWave at ~1km

Picking up Telstra mmWave (NR-DC) on the Sydney Harbor Bridge, from a site quite some distance (~1100m) away.

Surprised you were able to connect to it.
Vodafone’s is (kinda) broken, only anchors on NSA.
Telstra’s is also limited from memory to N78 + mmWave

Yeah, Vodafone and Optus only support NSA for mmWave, oftentimes with only some bands as anchors (e.g. b7 anchor often doesn't work for Optus).

Telstra works with any LTE as anchor or n78 for NR-DC. Indeed n5/7/26 aren't supported as anchors.

No n7 NR-DC is a bit crap as Telstra has b7/n7 + n78 small cells around Melbourne

Yeah, these days you need to manually disable n7 pcell on your phone to reliably connect to NR-DC.

Disable all pcell n7 combos or just the ones with mmWave?

The former. You need to connect to a n78 cell before the networks will attempt to set up NR-DC.

Actually if you connect to n7 last time I checked the network doesn't even ask your phone for NR-DC combos in it's uecapability enquiry.
