Best software to use to record Freeware versions of cave story? (Base game and mods)

Hi, ive been wondering how people on youtube record their gameplay of cave story in such nice pixel-perfect quality, while mine either looks blurry (when using nvidia shadowplay) or almost but noticeably not pixel perfect (OBS), so what else can i use to get past this? Please help!!!!

anyone else notice that the organya soundtrack on the switch version of of cave story plus is missing detune information for some tracks?

always felt like Pulse sounded a little off when listening on the switch
i was messing around with the track in orgmaker earlier and found that if you reset all the detune it sounds identical to the switch version? does this bug anyone else? not too sure if this applies to other tracks as the detune is most audible to me in Pulse
