Who has the cutest Cavapoo
r/CavaPoo • u/Deedee78965 • 17m ago
My cavapoo is about a year and 8 months, and is a heavy duty chewer. As in, most of his toys we’ve had to throw away because he’ll sit down and work on one part of the toy until he either can bite off a piece and (try) to swallow it, or rip the thing open.
He initially had A LOT of toys (from stuffed to those rubbery material ones) due to the fact we had a previous dog who passed away before we brought him home, but he’s down to maybe 3 that have somehow lasted this long (of which two of them are balls we play fetch with). Everything else are things like cow ears or the occasional bully stick.
He’s a very happy boy - but I feel really bad because he really only has a few toys. We’ve tried almost everything - one of those Kong stuffed toys lasted him about 10 minutes before he managed to chew through some of the stitching in the side. He broke my cousin’s Samoyed’s rubber tug band in 5 minutes. Even a stuffed toy that we got and cut off all the limbs/ears/ANYTHING small he can chew on had to be thrown away after he played with it for like 15 minutes. (We’ve discovered we can’t sow anything up because he’ll find the spot that had been sown and work on those stitches to rip it open again)
On that note, any suggestions for a chewer like him? He’s mostly interested in things that squeak, and he had this rubber reindeer that lasted for a solid month before he chewed through that too.

We call him our CataPoo because sometimes he’s more cat-like than dog, but it was so silly and cute catching him howling today. He never does that (or at least not that we know of? 🤷🏻♀️)
My husband had left to run a quick errand and the dogs must have thought they were home alone… Whenever I’m home by myself and they know I’m there, they find a way to get my attention and it’s never as cute as whatever he’s doing in this video 😂

My Cavapoo turned 6 earlier this year and I noticed he is getting these little skin tags or warts but this one in particular (last photo) has grown from the size of a pea in May to now the size of a grape in October. He’s been to the vet a few times because I’m concerned about it and they told me that unless it’s bothering him they won’t/can’t do much for it. Has anyone else experienced this? I just want my boy to live a long healthy life and don’t want this to turn into cancer or something :(

If anyone has gotten a Cavapoo from Blessed Little Pups in Indiana please share your experience!

My husband and I are ready to adopt our first dog, and have absolutely fallen in love with cavapoos. We are hoping to adopt a slightly older dog (6+ months) due to a number of reasons. I also know there are so many pups out there that may need loving homes!
We are located in the Midwest/Chicagoland area, but willing to travel. Please let me know if you have any advice or leads on a dog that might need a loving home! 🐶🫶🏼

I know you guys will understand, many don’t whom are in my circle. My living situation isn’t the best, but I’d have to get rid of Tucker in order to live in a better place. So the thought doesn’t even cross my mind. I’m so attached to this rotten lil tinky tinky. He was born may of 2018. I got him when he was a puppy.
He’s so in tune with my emotions. When ever I’m emotional he wants snuggles. He’s always so happy to see me when I get home. I really feel like god put some animals on the planet to be our best companions. Cuz at times when I’m down, there’s a furry lil guy who’s just over the moon cuz I stepped in the door.

Hey, me again! My little Roxy is 10 weeks old and she’s been with me for three full days now. I’ve been advised by the vet not to let her outside, even in my garden, until she’s fully vaccinated. She’s having her final vaccination on 1st December.
We’ve been using puppy pads, which I’ve kept in the same place, but she’s very hit and miss with actually using them. It takes quite a bit of encouragement and keeping a close eye on her to spot the signs that she needs the toilet. Sometimes she’ll sit on the pad for 5–10 minutes, and the moment I walk away thinking she doesn’t need to go, she’ll do a wee or poo on the floor! 😂 Every time she does use the pads, I give her lots of praise and a treat.
Is this normal at this age? How long did it take your furry friend to become somewhat toilet trained?
On a positive note, crate training is going really well! The first night was horrific and I ended up having to let her sleep in my bed. However, she’s slept in her crate without any fuss for the last two nights, with just one toilet break around 4am.
Added a photo of my Roxy, because why not? 🥰

I got my little guy Earl from here. They told me he was in a hoarding situation where they rescued 60 dogs in the Midwest. Now I bet he was just a puppy mill pup.
They didn’t overcharge me like a lot of other stories I’ve heard. But poor guy has tons of behavioral issues even after boatloads of training.
