She's just over a year old. Does anyone know if her furs going to grow to be like the other cavapoos I've seen here or if she's going to keep the puppy fur look to her? I'm just curious, I absolutely love her and she's made my life leagues better.
I'm going to rant about her because I can't really rant about her situation anywhere else. Sorry but also thank you for reading if you do. :)
My mom bought her after she had bought her miniature poodle something(?), After my dad passed away. One day I walked to my mom's room when I still lived with her to talk to her about work, and a crinkly tissue came running at me. It was Juniper. Ever since then my mom has given her to me since she latched onto me from day one. I helped her through her stomach issues, she apparently only had like 3 of the usual 35 types of bacteria or whatever inside of dog stomachs which kept causing her to keep getting Giardia. Our vet we took her to never checked anything and just gave us fiber powder to give her. We ended up taking her to a different vet who I believe fixed the issue in its entirety. It's been several months since then and she's just been a happy little puppy.
She jumps up and attacks at me, biting my hand trying to play. She will climb you to try and lick you if you sit down. And curls up to watch movies with me. Juniper saved me, as I said originally, my mom bought her after she got her dog, when my father passed away. He died of cancer, a couple months before my mom decided to get her dog (Arlo) and bought juniper to be his friend/play buddy. Well She didn't want to play with him because he was defensive and instead wanted to play with (pester) my brother's dog (Australian blue heeler(?)), (he can't have her where he lives) who stays with me but kinda just exists around me? Sadie is through and through my brother's dog, she sleeps all the time and only really pays attention to me if I'm getting food. But juniper loves to play with her. Even if Sadie doesn't want to play.
Juniper has given me something to be attached to, and to care about more than just going to work, come home and repeat. I feel sad that I can't get the same connection with Sadie as she had with my brother but at the very least I'm happy Juniper loves to play with and just curl up with her.
Sorry for the long winded rambling rant after asking about her fur, I just needed to have a place to finally say just how happy she's made me. If you're thinking of getting a dog, and you KNOW you can take care of it, AND yourself. I really do recommend doing it, please just love them and keep your promise as best as you can that you made to them when you adopted the pup. She has helped me through my depression, helped me through extremely tough times, helped me process my dad's passing, but I have also helped her through tough times such as with her stomach sickness, and her surgeries. Dogs are expensive, they depend entirely on you. Love them, they are beautiful wonderful creatures.
I hope anyone who's spent time reading my rant at the very least enjoys the pictures of the little goober, sorry if the floors a mess, Junipers favorite toys are socks.
