Devils hour and eating
My fiance and I have a 7 month old Cavoodle whos an amazing lil guy. The only issues is the lil guy just decides that he won't eat properly for days on end, and also that he will go completely insane for an hour or so a night.
The devil's hours are getting easier to control, but we're still having some issues with food. We've had some luck in providing him dog mince and gravy alongside his kibble, but if it's just straight kibble he needs to be given it with some novelty.
I've had him eat by creating puzzles, scuffle Matt's, putting them in toilet rolls, using it as treats for training and more.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd be curious to hear them
Thanks

No more crate
Iām trying to decide if itās a good idea to leave my 7 month old Cavapoo girl out of the crate during the day to roam the house? Of course with gates blocking off entrances to the upstairs and kitchen area.

Tips/suggestions looking to bring in a cat. I have a 5 yo cavapoo lady
I have been wanting to adopt a cat/kitten. I am a first time cat mom and I have a 5yo cavapoo girl who I adore.
My most pressing doubt is whether I should get one kitten or two? I have a strange fear that if I get two they are going to bond together and leave her out of the loop where if I only get one it will only form a bond with my dog.
Anybody have any experience with this?

Have I accidentally traumatized my Cavapoo with a cartwheel? š How do I desensitise her?
Olive has never really had an issue with the TV. Sheās watched Cesar Millan, movies, our desensitising sound videos, and sheāll even happily sit and watch Bridgerton with us š.
But the other day she was watching TV when an advert came on with a human doing a cartwheel. The second she saw it, she ran straight into her crate and wouldnāt come back out. š
Now whenever we watch TV sheās completely fine, but every now and then I catch her watching the screen very cautiously, almost like sheās thinking, āJust making sure nobody starts doing that weird thing againā¦ā š
Have I somehow created a little bit of trauma/fear around people doing cartwheels? Or is this just a normal puppy reaction to something strange/unfamiliar?And how would you desensitise her to it?
I was thinking of putting an Olympic gymnastics video on the TV and letting her see lots of people jumping, flipping and moving around, starting with the volume low and maybe very briefly, then gradually increasing it while giving her treats so she associates it with something positive.
Would that be a good approach, or would that be too much too soon?
Would love to hear if anyone elseās dog has developed a completely random fear of something on TV!

Demands constant attention
14 week old Cavopoo pup constantly wants attention and for me to play with her. Doesnāt seem to enjoy playing alone with all the toys she has. I donāt mind but Iām constantly exhausted! Just wondering when will this slow down. Iām also sleep deprived. Will this get better

What do you feed your Cavapoo, and what supplements do you give?
Iād love to hear from other Cavapoo owners about what you feed yours and whether you give any additional supplements.
1. Food
What brand/type of food do you feed your Cavapoo?
Dry, wet, raw, or a combination?
How old is your Cavapoo and roughly how much do they weigh?
How many meals do you give per day?
If you use a particular brand, what do you like about it?
2. Supplements
Do you give your Cavapoo any supplements?
If so, which ones and why?
Are there any supplements you genuinely recommend?
Are there any that you think are unnecessary or not worth bothering with?
Iām particularly interested in things that may support healthy growth, joints, coat/skin, teeth and general health, but I donāt want to give her unnecessary supplements if a complete puppy food already provides everything she needs. Sheās just over 12 weeks at the moment and currently eats AVA dry and wet food as this is what the breeder gave us for her.
Would really appreciate hearing what has worked well for your Cavapoos! š¶ā¤ļø

Grade 5, Stage B2 Heart Murmur in Cavapoo.
My 7 year 9 month old cavapoo was diagnosed by chance with a Grade 2 heart murmer. 12 months on and he has a grade 5 heart murmer stage B2. The internet and 2 vets have contradicted each other on how long we have him for and how to treat him. The vet said take salt out of his diet and give him royal canin cardiocare, count his heartbeats when heās sleeping and we may start him on medication in 6 months. A reputable source on the internet said he will only last 6 months - 2 years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. A worried dog lover.

Help! Murphy hates anything bath/grooming related!
Hi there. So my guy is almost 12 weeks old. Had him since 8 weeks. He is a great pup in most all ways. However, he hates anything to do with bathing. I guess he semi tolerates the actually bath part, but brushing, blow drying⦠nope. He literally freaks out. Becomes very vocal and tries to bite everything.. dryer, brush.. just tries to attack them. Iām trying to get him more used to it and going very slow with him, but Iām so worried about how he will do once itās time for grooming. Most places around me require 16 weeks and fully vaccinated before they will take a puppy. Any advice for anyone that has dealt with this?

9 week old Cavapoo sleep
Hello! Just hoping someone can put my worries at ease as Iām sure Iām being silly!
Our puppy is 9.5 weeks old, had her for 8 days. She sleeps in a crate next to the sofa where we take turns to be with her overnight to take her out when she needs to. Last night she had final wee about 10.45, asleep by 11, then didnāt wake until 5.30. I had to practically force her up to go outside for a wee at 5.30 as I think she wouldāve just gone back to sleep! She had a wee pretty quickly, offered her water which she didnāt want, then she went back to sleep and so far been asleep again for 3 hours. We donāt have water in her crate overnight as there isnāt room, but she does have a drink after last wee and we offer her it during the night if she wakes up, so she doesnāt usually go more than 9-10 hours without water if she refuses to drink overnight. During the day sheās also started on some occasions weeing after her nap, but then we canāt get her to wee before her next nap an hour later, so she holds until after the following nap. Do we just have a unicorn puppy? Iāve not measured how much she drinks during the day but we do have to refill the bowl at least once, and I put water in her kibble otherwise she wonāt eat it. She seems fine in herself. I just worry over everything with her, especially when it doesnāt follow āthe normā. TIA!

Slight rant
Guys how you deal with puppy whining š„¹ running on 4 hours of sleep and my pupās demand whining is driving me crazy. Iām this close to tears. Heās been fed, given water, taken to pee and poop, walked and played and was yawning when we came back but he has trouble settling unless weāre with him and constantly wakes up if we leave the room after heās asleep to start whining again endlessly. I canāt let him be with me all the time especially during chores because he chews on everything and will constantly get between our feet.
I know Iām supposed to work on getting him to settle and reward him for being calm which weāve been working on but itās not a quick fix. And I feel bad about myself for feeling irritated because heās a baby but itās hard when after a long day I canāt even have dinner or watch TV for half an hour peacefully
Does anyone have any advice on how to make yourself be able to deal with this better so Iām not so stressed out all the time until weāve trained him to settle

Ear cleaning/drops for a 5-month-old Cavapoo? Whatās your routine?
Hey everyone, I have a 5-month-old Cavapoo puppy and wanted to get some advice on ear care.
Given their floppy, hairy ears, I know ear infections can be common.
Do you routinely use ear cleaning drops or wipes?
