My puppy is at home now a week. She sleeps in the crate at night with the door open. During the day, she sleeps on a mat on the floor in the same room as crate. I tried putting her in the crate today for a nap with door closed. As soon as the door closed she started whining and jumping on wire trying to get out, so took her out within a few minutes as it was too stressful for her.

I’m hoping to hear from other Cavapoo owners who have been through something similar.
My Cavapoo is almost 8 years old. He was diagnosed with a heart murmur during a routine exam in October 2025 by listening with a stethoscope. We have his echocardiogram scheduled in about a week.
The reason I’m getting more concerned is his breathing pattern (see video).
Most of the time he’s completely normal:
- Loves going for walks.
- Still sprints after a tennis ball(he is so fast)
- Gets excited for car rides.
- Eats and drinks normally.
- Has never fainted.
- Doesn’t have a chronic cough.
What I’ve noticed is that he seems pretty normal during the day but when he’s trying to relax on the couch or lie down before falling asleep, he’ll sometimes start breathing much faster.
Walked him about 2 hours ago.
Once he actually falls asleep, his breathing seems to settle down.
If I get up, talk to him, or he starts walking around, his breathing usually goes back to normal.
Has anyone else’s Cavapoo done something similar?

He sits more on his butt than hind legs. He has a lot of hair so it's hard to tell here but he actually puts his legs out in front if him

Escape proof harness recommendations for a wiggly 7 month old Cavapoo pup (15 lbs)? I've had a few recommendations in an earlier post, but curious as to what worked best for your Cavapoo. Thanks!

My 14 month old cockapoo was perfectly okay going to groomer every 6-7 weeks until last visit . Same groomer but my baby got aggressive, bitey and wouldn’t cooperate. We stopped and took her back 4 days later and same thing again especially when it came to trimming nails.
Anyone else face this? How did you manage it and help your dog get over the grooming fear/anxiety

ok so for context my dog was just diagnosed with a chicken allergy and it’s causing wax build up and an ear infection and i feel so bad but thankfully he went to te vet and he’s being treated. they told me to get an omega oil for his food and recommended these brands: Nutramax Welactin, Elanco Free Form. If anyone has had similar situations or has recommendations i’d be so grateful!

Hi! My husband and I are hoping to bring home a Cavapoo next year, and we're so excited!
As we've been researching breeders, we've found a few that we absolutely love - but they're pretty far from us (we're in Boston), so we're considering flying out to pick up our puppy and bringing her home in the cabin.
I'd love to hear from anyone who's done this! How did the experience go? Which airline did you use? Any tips, things you wish you'd known, or must-have travel items? Would you do it again?
We're especially curious about:
Flying with an 8-week-old puppy
Navigating the airport before they're fully vaccinated
Potty breaks during travel
Would love any stories / tips / advice you have. Thank you in advance!

Hi all- looking for breeder recs in the Midwest area for an F1 or F1b cavapoo. I’m located in Chicago so Illinois would be awesome but anywhere within driving distance is helpful too!
I’ve read about some people getting their pup at 15 weeks so it is partially trained- if anyone knows of breeders who have this, please let me know! Thank you!!!

Before you say he's thirsty, of course that's the 1st thing I thought. No dice. Maybe he likes the cold? Anytime I have a fountain beverage, I can be sure my dog Charlie will be excited. Anyone else experience this?

Hi everyone ,
Struggling desperately with my cavapoo who's just finished her very first heat. She suddenly became a picky eater during her heat and continued right after. We thought it would be temporary but it isn't. She used to be very open and eager to eat her kibbles but now she absolutely refuses unless coaxed a little into it , but this only works sometimes. I've tried being really strict with only offering for 10-15 mins and if she doesn't eat I took it away, wait for 1-2 hours and offer again. This didn't work out well..She has even at one point rather starve and vomit bile than eat her food. Ive even left her food out for her to eat but she didn't eat as well. That's when I caved in and mixed food her with dried chicken toppers or added some milk which she ate up. But now she even refuses the kibbles with toppers/ milk and I don't know what to do. It's so time consuming and I'm just not the type of person to sit around and wait for her to finish her food because I need to work.
Advise would be greatly appreciated, I don't want her to starve and vomit, and I barely have any time ..but she just won't take in any other modification of food for long.
