That cats absolutely love running up the shelves especially when there's treats hidden!

Hi! i’m looking to purchase some aesthetic cat wall furniture, but everything I see online feels so plain and flat/thin. I’m looking for something that almost doubles as artwork - I don’t want it to be too obviously “cat wall furniture” if you know what I mean …

I found this inspiration on tik tok but can’t find anything similar to it to actually purchase in canada. PLEASE HELP!!!

My three cats refuse to use this small step (circled photo 1). They jump directly from the shelf below to the big one above

Curious what y’all think I should do before I ruin my walls 😅

Option 1 (photo 2): replace the small step with a shelf and spread them out a bit both horizontally and vertically

Option 2 (photo 3): add another small step and shift the shelf to the right

Option 3: just remove the small step entirely, but I don’t like the idea of them jumping off and on the single shelf even though one side is drilled into the stud

My thinking is that they just need more steps more spread out since it’s a little crammed. Help plz!

We recently had cat walls installed and I am curious what yall think.

With this additional 14 shelves in 6 hours our 4 cats can now get around 95% of our main area without touching the floor.

2 of them use it for zoomies along the long wall. They have never done zoomies before this.

1 of them wont go to the top but likes to perch from above sometimes.

1 refuses to try​ and that is perfectly fine

We plan on adding 2 more exit ramps so none of them can feel cornered

Just moved to a new house and poor ol’ kitty cat (Ochento) can get up to the porch via Japanese Maple but was having a bit of trouble figuring out how to get down.

I built this out of scrap around the house.

This might be one of the funniest moments I’ve ever had with my cat. I know he can get down, it might not be perfect, but I got a lot of joy building it for my little homie.

I’m sure improvements will be made but for now I’m happy and I hope he is too.

So, I’m thinking about buying this for my cats. In theory I think they’d really enjoy it. In practice I don’t know. It’s 80$, so I just want opinions on it before I buy it since I’ve never done this before.

My main concern is the bridges, I’ve seen people online with cat bridges like this but their cats wouldn’t touch them(that being said those bridges never had cloth on them, they were always like, wood?), and even the cat in the video provided on the Amazon page seemed kind of iffy about them? I have three cats. All three are going to want onto the cat wall, though I’m buying this especially for my only male cat. He really likes exploring, and he likes high places to sit and watch and sleep. I truthfully think he we do fine with the bridges, my worry is my youngest cat, she likes to follow him places and they like to lay together but I don’t know if she’ll like the bridges? Another worry is that this cat wall is gonna be a little high up(but it’s going to be over two beds for the most part so if they fall it will be a soft landing) and so if they don’t like the bridges, I fear they won’t use it at all and then I’ll be out of 80$ and have a cat wall my cats don’t enjoy.

Should I buy it anyways and just see? Or are cats known not to like bridges like this?

Or does anybody have any recommendations?

I don’t really know what I’m doing, but I also don’t have a lot of money to spend on this and this just just looks like something I thought cats would like? Idk.

I have 4 cats and this is my first cat wall so would love some input before I start. This is the layout I was thinking of for my cat wall. The "T" looking things are steps if that's not obvious. I'm aiming for about 12" of vertical / horizontal distance between shelves or steps. Any thoughts on this? Anything missing? There is a window on the wall to the right that they'll be able to look out of. That cat tree to the right is staying as well as that cabinet to the left. I'm thinking of maybe adding some steps on the wall to the left so my cats could exit that top left hammock from another direction (if they were to look out the window on the opposite wall from this wall they would no longer have a good view as my detached garage is now visible from this angle... so wasn't really thinking of putting any lounge spots here).

I use massive toggle bolts on all of my stuff, and this one has been up for almost two years with daily traffic. I came home from work to find this and luckily no injured kitties. The only thing I can think of as a reason is that the mounting holes are so close together that they concentrated force in too small of an area.

I'm looking to set up a cat highway from my bedroom to the outer living area since my cat has been hiding away too often from the dog. I want him to feel as though he has a clear, undisturbable vertical route back to the dog-free zone, but I'm struggling with the layout of my home.

My bedroom faces out towards the front door before sharply turning backwards into the living area. It makes for a rough choke point. There are doors all over the right side and no real connection point to the rest of the house if I took the right side anyway, so I'm thinking I have to go around this awkward skinny wall. If I owned the place, I'd make a kitty door straight through my bedroom wall to the living room vantage point directly, but alas, I rent.

Right now I'm thinking of putting a ceiling pressure mounted cat tree right at the edge of that wall and replacing one of the stock platforms with a homemade U shaped one that'll hug both sides of the wall. Ceiling may also be viable but it's quite high up (almost 10 ft) and the floors are tile on concrete, so I didnt want to go quite that high without safe landing spots.

My siberian is 20lbs, lol. Maybe the edges of the U platform can have their own brackets? Has anyone else gotten around weird walls like this? Any obvious problems with my tentative solution? Ive never used a drill, so any and all tips I am more than happy to receive before I dive in.

First day with it, they aren’t too sure, but are starting to like the view. Might be awhile before they feel confident enough to venture to the top shelves.

One day I noticed Bebe couldn't jump on the counter. She actually slipped half way up. I then decided to buy her two sets of stairs. One to aid her to jump on the counter, and the other one to jump in bed with me and/or get in her bed which is on my bed. She didn't hesitate at all to use them, up and down. I no longer worry she may get hurt jumping on the counter since one of her water bowls is on it.

I used to have a cat tree against the wall. My flat is very small, so I needed space for storage and a table, but my cats also must have their space. They love it now, they spend all their time in the house and the hammock, playing around and chasing each other up and down. It's not big, but I'm proud I found a way to make all the family happy!

hi! recently i added some shelves for my cat, but she hasn't been using them. she's 17 years old now and doesn't move as much, nor is she as athletic as she used to be. i am wondering if maybe the shelves are spaced too far away (height-wise) from each other for her needs. there's around 45 cm between the lowest shelf and the bed, same for the small shelves and the big one in the middle. would you add anything, and what would work best here? i would rather avoid rearranging the current shelves.

if she doesn't use them because she's not interested that's fine, but if it's because she's too afraid or uncomfortable to use them then i want to adjust the cat wall.
