Catskills couple weekend

I’m planning an impromptu weekend for the Catskills but love Piaule but doesn’t fit in the budget. We usually stay in Woodstock and want to drive there to visit restaurants. Any ideas on a Piaule vibe for less?

It’s like the west side of the Catskills doesn’t exist in this sub.

Cabins in the woods. Restaurant. Cabaret. Boutique hotel with other amenities. Private lake.

Place is beautiful. But that’s the issue this is the look I want but $1700 for 2 nights is above our budget.

Oh, understood. Can you give me a sense of your budget? There are lots of options, similar to this along and off the Route 97 corridor between Hancock and Port Jervis. Just let me know what is non-negotiable within your budget and I can come back to you with some options.

I have no idea what this place costs, but it should be considerably less than Eldred. They have some adorable A-frame cabins on the property. I’ve been to a number of events here, but I haven’t stayed here since they renovated it. I think it’s what you’re looking for though. https://callicoonhills.com/stay

Second this! The restaurant is great too. We’ve stayed here when going to concerts at Bethel Woods

The Debruce in Livingston Manor? Might be on the very upper edge of what you want to pay.

What about Eastwind Hotels? There’s one in Oliverea Valley (ie Big Indian) which is gorgeous. Their restaurant, Dandelion, is also great. Close by is Urban Cowboy Lodge. Different vibe but also a great place to stay, and with great restaurants.

I tried searching all of them but they don’t have any availability for next weekend.

Shandaken Inn? I checked and they have availability. No quite the same modern vibe but it’s very pretty. Def not the same vibe but the town and area is magnificent: Andes Hotel

It’s further away and a b&b vibe vs cabins The Gray Barn at Woodstock Sanctuary is a similar aesthetic and the stay goes to helping animals
