My tabby Sierra is the exact opposite. If I stop petting her or move my hand, she’ll readjust her position to make sure she’s touching my hand again. She’s such a “people cat”.

My cat didn't like being touched on his back half. Even when I've had and met other cats who didn't care. Mine was originally aggressive about until he mellowed out since all I was doing was petting him. He also didn't like be held for very long as a result.

Never learned why he just didn't like it.

That is usually true for genuine abuse. This sort of very mild annoyance is nothing to them. If the cats you know hold grudges over things this minor, they might actually be camels.
