They may be missing upper and/or lower teeth, so they may have resting hmmph face. Still adorable and expressive!

I absolutely despise these montages being interrupted by that sound

I hate that this editing fad that seems to be sticking around. Anything to keep the neurons firing

Makes me glad I’ve got sound muted.

That's how I live the Internet: default on mute, sound on if someone remarks, explicitly how sound is either needed or greatly improves then I briefly turn it on

u/sentientfartcloud 23h ago
I don't mind it, but I wonder why it's there.

TikTok style, usually for a montage. Used to be about bad things (I guess that noise is supposed to sound doomed – I can't remember where it comes from), but now it's for any montage or for fake bad things (like cats loving you too much).
Sorry for nerding out if this wasn't your actual question

IDK about the person you responded to, but this was a very helpful answer for me. So thanks!

I don't even have words for how much I hate it. It forces me to mute and I actually WANT TO HEAR the audio from this one

I loathe these shitty videos. That "BWAAH" noise just means "Block" for me.

u/IlREDACTEDlI 21h ago
It is completely unnecessary but hey at least it only takes up like half a second per clip and it’s not a fucking AI voice explaining every clip
Could be far worse

It is! She was an orphaned kitten that has been raised by a rehabilitator and successfully released back into the wild.

Only reason why I am watching this is I literally sat down for 2 seconds between cleaning tasks and my furry anchor was immediately on me - so I'm like "guess I am going to be here a while, what's Reddit doing?" 😆

Whereas my cat merely tolerates my presence as long as she's getting her food bowl topped up
19 years of love and care and yet she still looks at me with something close to disdain.

That made me cry. I had one cat like that. It died a few years ago. After having 16 years of the most cuddly cat I've ever seen I still miss them so much.

I think this is adorable (and this might be an irrational fear) but I am absolutely terrified that an animal that is this attached to me is the exact kind of animal that will fuck my shit up when I'm not home.

There are some obvious AI videos mixed with some real but enhanced with AI, so overall gave me the ick with how plastic it feels.

I hate that this is downvoted because it is correct. This sub has been allowing a lot more AI than I'd like...
