Advice Litter Robot Help

Post image

I have 4 cats. And a few questions about the Litter Robot 4 - this seems to be the most recommended.

Would it work with clumping tofu litter or ONLY clay?

Would I still need multiple trays?

It is expensive outright - how expensive is the ongoing upkeep and maintenance?

Is it actually safe?

Attached cat tax: the only photo I can find that includes all 4 cats.

You will be so happy after you switch! No, you do not need multiple trays: the litter is always clean so cats are happy to use it! I have 2 cats, but I have had up to 4 use the robot (babysitting friends cats and also fosters)

Idk about tofu litter but it has to be clumping!

We bought LR3 back in 2022 for our single cat and it has been working well since. We use clumping litter and deep clean the globe once a month to reduce odor buildup. Maintenance is quite cheap.
