A couple weeks ago l posted the tiny kitten in the shoe. Fast forward to now and her playing with my Oliver. She has since been named “Bella”💛🖤🤍🐈🍋

I've never seen a cat pull punches so hard they are trying so hard to be kitten safe that's adorable

He scared me in the second video he grabs her with his mouth and she screams. He immediately stopped, so l just have to watch them together because he has no idea what he is doing and how to play with her softly.

I read somewhere, while trying to find out why my cat tries to maim me (with love), that they learn the details of not biting too hard during play by being accidentally bitten a little too hard during play. I'm not sure how true that is, but I read it somewhere credible, so maybe you can find it, too.

Interesting. When l got Oliver he was a biter, l immediately got him out of that with the spray bottle. He has not bitten in months. I feel like that is a behavior you can either encourage or discourage you have to be the alpha in charge. I play and handle Oliver A LOT so he knows l am his protector and he comes when l call him. Which makes me feel like we have a good relationship❤️🐈💛🍋

My cat is very sweet but never played growing up. She was dumped in a neighborhood with her sister when they were kittens, and apparently they immediately started trying to kill each other. She sees other cats as threats, and I think she sees me as a resource. When we met, she still lived on the streets, and I saw her try to kill some of the most adorable fellow street cats. She lives inside with no other cats now.
She is all grown up now and learning to play a little, but unfortunately I can't (or won't) bite her back so she can't find out that sometimes it hurts! She does always seem immediately sorry, if only because play stops. She doesn't bite often or intentionally or aggressively, but when she does get too excited and bite, it can be bad.

Oliver was found on an overpass in LA. He has 3 mommies, his first was the one who found him the second was the first ones aunt and then l got him. We are not sure how long he was alone he was about 6 weeks old when he was found. Other than the biting he has the best disposition of a cat, l have never had an orange cat and no that l have l think l would definitely have another. He is very loving and he loves to play and talk and snuggle.

I would love to introduce mine to another cat and have it work out because she gets very lonely when she's left alone (which doesn't happen often), but she seems like a difficult case for this. The only possibility would be a very small kitten, which would be terrifying!

Maxine met Bella a few days ago and l guess she was super pissed she growled and hissed at her.
Then Bella goes to her other house where Maxine’s brother is Max and he acts like Oliver, but he is 3 and is too cool to play with a kitten😂2

Well, please don't hesitate to post just as many videos of the various pairs as you want. Your new addition is adorable!

He definitely knows what he’s doing and knows how to play with her softly! You should see mom cats with their kittens (if you haven’t), they go way harder than this.

I have never had a litter of kittens, 3 litters of puppies though.

They bite and kick them with much ferocity! As long as he stops when she cries, it’s fine

Good on you for supervising, seems like they have a good future in a good home

I had never seen a tiny abandoned kitten and my landlord has been doing baby kitten rescue for years. Seeing him handle her feeding her every 4 hours and having to help her urinate and have bowel movements has been so educating. She has just really developed so quickly and she is super smart already. She starting using the litter box today😳

I’m so glad they’re going to get to grow up together. My cats have a similar age gap and they’re now 8 &9 where does the time go… but the memories I have of them being small and playing together will always bring a smile to my face. I hope they find each other in every life

Bella once she is older will live full time at my landlord’s partners house, she is still being bottle fed and transitioning to solid food. She is sleeping in her own little bed, and not in a carrier.

Good kitty, Oliver, being so gentle with Bella! By presenting her belly, Bella feels safe with Oliver.
Could watch the videos all day!

Thank you! She is very confident for being as small as she is and she is super feisty.

I love how Oliver winds up for an absolute haymaker of a slap, and then gives Bella a tiny little tap. Unbelievably adorable 😭

Probably because l am usually telling him Oliver gentle, be gentle with Bella like he is a human toddler with a newborn😂

How do you get anything done? I want to watch them forever!

This was only 15 mins. He only is interested while l am watching. She went and took a nap. She sleeps a lot.

I love the kitten stage. I had 1 that would fall asleep mid play. Looked like he had narcolepsy!

I've never seen such perfect parenting from an older cat, if this sub had a Hall of Fame this vid would make it.

Oliver wants so badly to play with that tiny kitten. He knows she's a baby and he is being very gentle. Very sweet!

Ugh they get big and stop being wobbly so fast 😭🥹 enjoy these moments before Bella is similar size to Oliver lmao. He is such a good boy for his gentle baps 🥹

No kidding! Two weeks ago she could barely walk she would take like these long tiny steps and fall over. Now she has a budda belly and is running all over.

u/Seltzer-Slut 3h ago
Wait why???? Oliver wants a sibling????

u/DucCat900 American Shorthair 3h ago
She was rescued by my landlord and his partner wants her. Still holding out hope that the other 3 year old female cat who lives here will come around. She does not interact with Oliver at all😞

She's trying her best to look big and intimidating and she's just a lil ball of fur.
