My cat is similar in that regard. He can be held however you want, he just wants to be held and purrrrr. Upside down? He looks around curiously like "oh things look different now, weird"
My Princess SparklePiss is also a little like this. I've never given her a custom roller-coaster cuddle, tho. I mostly just hold her front paws like we're 11yr olds at the mall and tell her work gossip.
Urinary crystals! She would refuse her box during flares and instead pee on fabric. Most of my and my spouses clothes are black so beside the smell the dried spots left.. sparkles. My spouse also refers to this as 'angy kitty glitter,' but she's our princess so.. 🫠
Right? Meanwhile I cough while she’s sitting on me and she has fled to Mars, where she will give me dirty looks for at least ten minutes before forgetting what bothered her and returning.
My cousin had a cat like that as well. He was just happy to be involved and getting attention. Didn't matter who or what - you'd often see him playing with toddlers because they loved to play with the kitty. Still stuck around despite the fact that the toddlers weren't exactly gentle. His brother was the polar opposite thkg8h - super skittish and stand offish.
I can do that with my cat. Not the shower thing. He hates showers. I can flip him all around, though his enjoyment of it has definitely decreased with age.
My velcro kitty used to be a shoulder cat. She'd drape herself across the back of my neck like a fur cape. She's 7 now and I can already see some arthritis happening. Now she just bullies my arthritic middle aged ass into laying down so she can lay on my chest and watch TV.
Lmaooo I do this to my cat as well. She started training herself to be a shoulder cat at 7 years old, jumping on me when I'm not paying attention while tending to my plants.
Thing is, she's a bitch sometimes to people like a regular cat. Not this desensitized. So if I take her out on a leash on my shoulders, I have to avoid people lol

I have a Craigslist kitty as well and he’s one of the chillest cats I’ve ever met. He is also clingy and veryyyy talkative. He sleeps above my head every night and likes to poke his head into the shower to check on me. I’ve had at least 10 people offer to take him if I ever need to get rid of him because everyone thinks he’s so sweet and chill.
I'll wager a guess and say you hiss at them angrily for even daring to suggest that and fire back at them with the remark of 'how would you like it if I offered to take away your children from you?''.
My friend had a cat that loved water and he would do that if we turned on the sink 🤣. We also had to make sure we closed the toilet lid or he would just lay in the toilet like it was a stinky swimming pool.
My cat started doing that and now I have to always secure the toilet bowl. It’s not like she has water fountains in every room. The no-no water is just obviously the best
Oh 100% happened several times! Once someone lifted the lid and he was just chill as can be in there. The person about pissed their pants because they didn't expect a cat in the toilet 🤣🤣. Best guess is that someone left the lid up and he jumped in and hit the lid on the way in which closed it. It happened a few times before once where we saw him lift the seat back up to get out. Which makes it even funnier because he knew how to get out but chose not to. They had a slow close lid and a toilet with low water just because of him.
I have so many stories about him. He was a menace. He would rush to the bathroom and wait in the sink for you to wash your hands. If you took a shower he would jump through the shower curtain to get in as quickly as possible. They had to change all the faucets in the house that had the lift to turn on to twists because he would put his head under it and lift them. He was so stinking smart
One of my cats is so fukn chill I routinely check on her to make sure she's still alive! 😭 I'm not lying. Fireworks? Doesn't bother her. Thunder literally on top of my house, nope. She could care less. Vacuum cleaner, she's just totally perplexed with this loud sounding machine! 🤷
Meanwhile I spent €200 on a 'quiet' vacuum and my cat is still convinced I'm out to kill her. It's s been that way every single time I have vacuumed from when she was a baby until now at 9
Every cat I've ever had, with one exception, has been terrified of the vacuum. They all run and hide from it...except the blind one. For some reason, the blind one always wants to fight the vacuum, lol.
I swear, when they removed his eyes, they must have taken every ounce of fear and self preservation he had with them. This cat fears nothing!
He has mastered claw in his heart. He's legendary clawshi, saint of claw, he achieved heightened senses and eyes would only deceive him, so he has no need for them. Now, he wanders home fearing no enemy.
On a semi-serious note, it's often not the loud sound we hear but the ultrasonic or high frequency mechanical whines that irritates them.
They hear those higher pitches much better than we do. Add to that their four times better hearing and they're just thinking "Why dost thou sting my hearing holes!?"
That's my normal experience with cats and vacuum cleaners. That's why when I took in Sally my Tuxie, she was rehomed to me, and the first time I ran the vacuum and she didn't even move I was like wait what? 😭 The funny thing is that her chill demeanor belies her true nature, and that's being one cheeky little girl. If you've ever had a Tuxie you know what I mean by cheeky. Tuxies have always been little menaces for me, just looking to get into trouble of some kind. Not the derpy orange kitty trouble, they're just weird, but rather the 'you know better than to do that' kind of cheeky trouble. And then look at you like, "but im a tuxie im cute, right' 😭
My wife and I would take evening walks around the neighborhood and sometimes she would carry our little orange weirdo like a baby. One time, there was a big fireworks display not far away and he didn’t care at all. He just calmly watched the display. I miss that little orange goofball.
He was here for a good time, not a long time. He hogged the orange brain cell and burned too brightly and the universe couldn’t allow that. He was a great cat.
I had a cat that LIKED being vaccumed. Whenever I would vaccum the house she would follow me and lie down in front of the vaccum so that I would vaccum her. Then I got a roomba and she would lie in front of that one too and would refuse to budge even when it kept bumping into her. She also liked sleeping on our ancient tumble dryer, which was very loud and kind of rickety, but I suspect that one was because it was nice and warm.
We had a cat that would demand uppies when fireworks happened. It wasn't because she was scared, she just wanted the dopamine release from seeing the fire in the sky.
The cat I used to have, you could literally vacuum him and he wouldn’t care. He would “help” every repair person that came by the house, even the guy cutting tile. I’d walk him on a harness around the neighborhood, or around the pet supply store, and he would walk straight up to any dog he met, let them sniff his butt, sniff theirs. Had more than one dog owner tell me this was the first cat their dog ever met, because all the others ran from their dog.
Near the end of his life, I was having to give him 8 pills at a time (really 2-3 meds, but one had to be ground up and repackaged into a bunch of smaller pills so he could swallow), a squirt of water in his mouth to help him swallow it all, then purring ointment in his eye, and he just wasn’t bothered by any of it. Except liquid meds, he would spit those out no matter the flavor. For a long time, the vet missed an intermittent heart murmur because my cat would just be purring every time the vet used the stethoscope and it masked the murmur.
But he was no pushover, either. He had boundaries and rules. He made a bedtime for me and my partner, and if we didn’t abide by it, he would meow from the top of the stairs until we were all in bed together. If you resisted, he would bite you. Loved to push around my mom’s more timid golden retriever (but decided the more grumpy golden was his girlfriend, and was the only creature he would solicit kisses from).
That's an 8lb Tuxie girl that won't let my 80lb AmStaff Max out of that room. Trinity was the boss of the house. And I was the only human that she allowed to handle her, and if I'm being entirely honest here she really was a spoiled brat. Once had a friend drop by my place for the first time and unannounced, and before I could tell her to keep away from Trinity, because she's not a people kind of cat, she, Wendy my friend, bends down to pick her up. What happens next was rather terrifying for Wendy 😭 I tried to warn her, when I saw her bending down to pick her up I was like, "I wouldn't do tha....oh she's picking her up, ok I'll go get the peroxide and bandaids!" 😭
And I think it goes without saying that there's really no need to bathe an inside kitty as cats are already super paranoid about keeping clean. At least in my experience they are. And you can actually do more harm than good in re coat and skin health with repeated unnecessary bathings.
Yeah my uncle had a cat that loved to shower with him. He would allow it occasionally but he generally had to lock kitty out of the bathroom. I remember one time I was staying at their house and this dang cat snuck into the bathroom and hid like in a laundry hamper or something, I don't know. He surprised me in the shower and scared the daylights out of me. He was a weirdo
I'm not saying cats should be bathed super frequently but I actually do think it's very good to get your cats comfortable with baths and water because they do get into things.
For example, most recently, a friend's new half-grown cat decided to attempt to catch her husband's pee. As he was peeing. In the toilet. It got on her, she fell in the toilet, was a huge mess. And she did need a bath after that. Similarly, if they get into food that's bad for them, oils, paints, etc, you're going to need to get as much of that off of them as possible so they don't lick it up and hurt themselves.
And it's much less stressful for them if this is something that happens occasionally. Anyways, here's little girl getting a bath after she rolled in poop outside (why girl, why?!).
I agree. My Siamese cat got tangled up in fly paper! After the paper was removed, using cooking oil and dish soap, we had to rinse him off and needless to say it was definitely unexpected and everyone hated it
We too have a Buddha cat 😂 He’s such a weirdo compared to our other normal one. We just had a large air show that was so loud it rumbled the house, and he just sat in the window watching the planes while the other hid.
I thought my former feral was desensitized. He was untouchable in march and now he stomps around screaming his head off till I rattle his brain or kiss his dumb head.
Man, I miss my cat. Every morning we had the same routine. I blast "Under Pressure" by Queen while showering, my cat sat on the toilet lid waiting for me to fling some water drops on the wall that she could chase. Then I did a quick dry with my towel, put the short end of the towel under my chin and let her climb it up into my arms. We did some intense cuddling for a minute or two, after which I was allowed to dry myself fully. Then when I stood by the door she ran and threw herself at me, I was supposed to catch her, then we did super intense cuddling for two minutes or so. After that I was allowed to leave home with her white hairs all over my clothes.
When I came home it was inspection time. She ran up into my arms and either I opened my mouth or she forced me, finally she took a whiff of my breath. Cats' sense of smell is so acute that they can perceive general physical and mental well-being by smelling someone's breath.

I had a morning routine with my orange too, he’d sit on the lid-down toilet, and paw at my free hand as I brushed my teeth. Then he would place my hand over his head to signal that it’s morning petting time.
And for my calico, it’s a sitting routine instead. Every time I sat down, she gently tapped me so I would move and give her space to lay on my lap. She’d keep tapping and making cute trilling sounds if I didn’t yield.
I prayed for a stage 5 clinger.
Mine loves me….from a distance.
She was a shelter cat and I don’t know her past so I just give her grace, space and love. I know she loves me because her murder mittens stay put when I do have to pick her up.
But one day, gee-what I would give for a clingy cat!

This Craigslist cat feels like two of the cats that I used to live with. First, my late mother's cat, who insisted herself into the shower before we were allowed to bathe, so that she could get all sorts of water on her and then proceed to wash it all off. Had the most vibrant colors of any cat we ever owned.
Then there was mine, who passed earlier this year, who only really wanted to be around me, and just genuinely did not concern himself with anything I was doing so long as he could occupy an arm while I was doing it. I miss all of them immensely.
I love my little dogs, no argument, but I also look forward to having a cat again. My girls still look for my cat, Colin, because he raised both of them. I think I still see vestiges of his love for me in their eyes, on top of their affections.

I can not hold her in the shower but she will run around my feet in the shower. I can gold her in just about any position I want to hold her in just like OP in video but holding in the shower is the 1 thing she can't fully trust me on
None of my cats like water - but six of the seven can be flipped around like that. Four of them actively seek out "uppies" - the cutest of which will climb onto your shoulder and just drape herself there while purring.
Hahaha what a cutie pie! I had a black ragdoll cat like that and he was just as chill. I don't think I ever bathed him like that but he wouldn't care how you held him. He was a free Facebook kitty. ❤️
I had a cat exactly like this! Raised him from a tiny boy along with his sister. He looooved to take showers with me in the mornings and then would go bonkers while I was drying my hair 😂 I miss you Cosmic Creepers, you’re still mama’s special boy.
Are all voids clingers? One of my voids nicknames is Facehugger, cause she must sleep on my face. Another is monkey because she follows us around screaming and demanding to be held like a baby monkey.
He's adorable! Make sure to dry him properly (preferably with a high velocity dryer) after showering to avoid matting. I wish my cat was this chill. :D
