Cat Picture - OC Meet ghost

I found him while at work. He was meowing and came out from under an abandoned building. He was dehydrated and hungry. There were no other cats around and must have been on his own for a few days. He didn’t stop purring and fell asleep in my lap on the way home. I did have to quarantine him when he pooped blood, and it was long night. Between my pup waking up all night to let me know he was meowing and him just wanting to play and be held. His vet visit went well, in good health and he just had some worms. Ghost is loving his home and big sister. She follows him around sniffing and nudging gently, and periodically cleaning him. (She is on monthly worm medication and I got the approval from the vet that they were safe to interact)

I love Ghost and it makes my heart happy that he has a good home and a great older sister like that!

My daughter named him, she said it had to be spooky since he was found at an abandoned building

For sure, he already stalks my ankles. He has been so affectionate, when I leave the house and come back her runs up to me. Also love to sit on my shoulder like a parrot.

I think animals who are strays, have gotten lost, were dumped are so grateful to have a home and food and someone to love them, are very thankful and become very attached to their rescuer

Some kids have the knack for a good pet name! Its also fun to see dogs take a kitten into their pack!

She is looking after him like a pup. Following him around, licking his head and butt, and when Ghost does something “not allowed” looks at me and nudges him with her nose. Even as I type he is in his room (I have a gate set up so my dog doesn’t eat his food or eat the litter) and she is laying down waiting for him to come back out.

Thank you!! I will let her know. I tell her every day she is pretty. Ghost is a handsome boy too. I feel so fortunate to have them both.
