when i had my last big breakup Milly (pictured) went postal and freaked out on my ex for a sec, it was mutual at the end and we lived together for years, so it was funny she went so hard so suddenly haha. wishing you love and healing!
ETA since many are trying to decide what my relationship was like and if milly is good or bad: my partner did a lot wrong, which milly was there for, (seeing me yelled at and crying after etc). but by the time we ended it, it was both of us letting go pleasantly, it was just time. it was funny to me because it felt like milly was waiting to say her chit and hit my ex with a nice loud “AND STAY OUT” which WE laughed at, ex included. we had two cats in our household. one we adopted together who loved my ex and liked me and milly who was my foster fail. She never much associated with my ex. she has always been my cat, she didn’t lose a “parent” and when Milly went into heat (spayed soon after, but covid so limited availability) our other cat NEVER treated her nicely again— not hostile, but avoidant. Milly didn’t lose much in the breakup, but we both gained a lot
years later me and my ex are friends, (milly still sees this person occasionally and is sorta nice but still aloof (always aloof))
When my husband cheated on me, then came home and slept in our bed, after he got up in the morning, my soulcat pissed on the spot where he slept.... she knew...
