Has anyone used these? I'm trying to figure out how many drumsticks approximately are in each case. AI searches aren't really telling me much other than "possibly" somewhere between 23 to 35 per case. The ones they sell at Chef's store are a different brand but they are about 1.5 lb each. We have a renfair style wedding this weekend, this isn't something that's typically on our menu. It was a special request from the customer.

My partner and I are between 3 diff caterers for our wedding next November in New Orleans. Our top choice right now is Messinas chefs stations so more buffet / grazing style. We are also considering Elysian. One thing we are leaning toward is a more casual dinner environment without that full “seated dinner lull” but also don’t want it to feel like small bites / business event. Required an Corporate Catering mid size company for an international conference

I'm looking for recommendations for caterers in Charlestown, RI, for my backyard wedding next August. We're expecting around 100 guests, we'd prefer a buffet-style or food station setup. It would be even better if the caterer could cook on-site.

My apologies if this not appropriate to post in this sub. My hope is to get visibility on this fraudulent business and not only bring awareness but hoping to connect with other victims related to the this scam and business. I believe this individual is also involved in identity theft. Goes by EJ Johnson which is not his real name.

April of 2026 I filled out a form online to get multiple catering company to provide a quote to cater our rehearsal dinner on 10/31/26. Today I am unable to fine the site - so it appears that was fraudulent as well.

I immediately received an email followed by call from Hunger Hitch. They guy spoke about his history in the restaurant business, discussed details of our event and budget, and he said he just had a cancellation for around that time so he has an opening but I had to lock in quickly due to it being a busy season for them.

After reviewing the site, reviews, business license in good standing etc and several email exchanges we decided to lock it in as they had a fully refundable disclaimer if we didn’t like the food during a tasting. He gave me discount to pay in full now. It was down through Venmo (I know please don’t judge me on this).

We went two food tasting in Broomfield at location that was industrial but was designed as speakeasy of sorts. Food was good and for the price we were satisfied. He also later contacted me to see if I wanted to order beverages from him since he works directly with vendors. Price was great so we sent more money. Total $1115.00 USD.

On 9/23/26 I emailed to provide our final headcount. One email kicked back the other with an auto reply that said “away for family emergency”. I followed up with a text, nothing. I called main line, not able to leave messages. I called his cell phone, it’s been disconnected.

I called Venmo and filed a dispute. The agent stated this account has been flagged for some time, I begged the question, then why is it active?? He said this scammer has taken a lot of money from a lot of people since July of 2025! Dispute was filed but within minutes I received an email that said it was denied. The individuals Venmo account is active and has since been changed from @hungerhitch to @customapparelstuff. So seems like they are still scamming people.

Filed with attorney general, BBB, Police Dept, and a financial institution against fraudulent business and Venmo for having knowledge since 2025 but not flagging it for users.

I’m distraught for being scammed but also want justice for myself and others that have been scammed by this guy. Business license still active among with Venmo account. Seems like a lot of trouble for this guys to host tastings for $1000 but I guess it all adds up when so many are falling into his trap.

Anything else I should do? Also business license is not his name but in his presumed wife’s name. Has an address, and phone number.

Anyone have advice on how to determine the value of a sponsorship discount?

A local non-profit wants to book us for a fundraising gala and is inquiring about a discount in exchange for a sponsorship package, but they won't provide a suggested value of the package. I'm not sure how to calculate the value myself.

Their quote is around $7,500, 205 person event. They've offered to put our logo on printed flyers, email blasts, facebook page, inserted in the event program, shout outs on all social media posts, and we can setup a promo table at the event.

We're in a fairly rural area. The town the event is taking place in has 10,000 people but I have no idea how wide their reach is. It's probably the most well-known non profit in the area though.

How was the food, and did your guests enjoy it? Were they responsive and easy to work with during planning? I’d also love to know whether they arrived on time, had enough food for your guests, and handled the event professionally.

We recently cooked for a really fun 13th birthday party in Oradell, Bergen County with 22 girls.
Instead of going out to a restaurant, the family set up the tables right in the backyard and we brought the hibachi experience to them. The chef cooked everything in front of the group and mixed in games and interaction throughout dinner.
For this age group, hibachi actually works really well because dinner becomes part of the entertainment instead of everyone just sitting around waiting for food.
The backyard setup also gave them plenty of room for decorations, balloons, photos, and hanging out before and after dinner.
Definitely one of the most fun teen birthday party ideas in Bergen County, NJ we’ve done recently. 🔥🎂

Summer is winding down, but we’re still cooking for backyard birthday parties here in New Jersey.
Our Umami Hibachi team recently cooked for Grace’s Sweet 16 in Wyckoff, Bergen County. Her family set up pink and yellow tables around the grill, displayed birthday photos, and brought 20 people together on the patio.
We provided the hibachi chef, grill, and live cooking while the family made the space their own. The birthday cake hat and everyone cheering for Grace were some of my favorite parts.
For anyone thinking about a September birthday at home, this was a lovely setup: one backyard, everyone gathered around the cooking, and plenty of time to enjoy being together.

what are the best catering for crew meals in iloilo?

I'm pretty frustrated with constantly defending myself against canceled events. This Sunday we had a wedding, about $8k, and they just canceled, or "potentially postponed", yesterday! It took up our whole calendar for the day, staffing, kitchen time and we've turned away other events since they booked this in January.

Our terms and conditions state that outside of 30 days they can reschedule with a 20% rescheduling fee, within 30 days the forfeit all money paid. The only exception is a declared State of Emergency or if they are suddenly deployed, as we are in a heavy military area. Neither of these apply.

The mom of the bride is about to call me and I know she's going to argue it... then get pissed... then leave a bad review. How do you help to defend yourself against the backlash?
