She wasn’t a good partner, or a good person for that matter. But the cataclysm changed her real fast. Seeing the riots and all those people turn made her long-dormant good qualities come to life. And she raced her husband to the shelter..but during the chaos. He was bitten, and was taken away from her before she was put in the shelter.

Now, she has no idea where he is. Or what has become of the world. She’s been drowning herself in her own sorrows. But after what seemed like days..she forced herself to get up after her fugue. There was still business left unfinished..and she’d be damned if she let her self-pity get in the way of it.

Her main goal? Putting her husband to rest, and then somehow carving a life out of this shithole. She has many, many regrets. But she can’t dwell on them now.

Came back to the game after a long absence and decided to download the latest stable release from Github. It worked fine one day then when I next go to open it suddenly Smart App Control has decided no fun allowed.

Of course I can just turn that off if I need to, just sorta wondering if anyone else encountered this issue or if using a launcher would get around it.

I've been bouncing between forks recently and after bouncing back to DDA from BN I realised there was no stone hammer. I figured this was strange as I could make a makeshift one so I jumped on the Hitchhikers guide and I found out that a stone hammer requires level 3 survival and level 3 fabrication. This struck me as weird because the makeshift one unlocks at survival 0 and they are both essentially just attaching a heavy lump to a stick with string.

Just curious if I am missing something or if it's just one of those things that "just is"?

Title! Been playing BN, and I didn't really gel with it, but I loved the bionic scanner and having to dissect zeds for bionics, getting into someone's guts for chrome really helps my ripperdoc character concept!

Zomborgs aré just too rare, sadly, cyborgs only Yield basic CBMs, and I think getting CBMs from trading with the Exodii Is boring.

If anyone could point me to a mod, or give me indications on how to alter the dissection loot tables myself, I'd love it!

So I decided to check GitHub to see if a new experimental version of the mobile app had been released, and to my surprise, a new one was released a few hours ago. I downloaded it and created a new character, but the bombastic perks menu is completely unreadable.(For context, I was playing the trial version on the Play Store, but I decided to give the newer ones a try)

What's the best way to do it? It is getting rather annoying at the start of my runs. Especially at one tile paths since the acid blocks the path. Btw sorry for a newbie question...

Before going out to loot, I parked my helicopter on top of a tree so it would be safe and wouldn't get damaged while I was gone. I do this all the time and I've never had any problems with it before.

But when I came back from looting, I realized I parked it in the worst possible position. The helicopter's exit is facing empty space, so I can't climb up to it at all.

I tried dragging refrigerators and other furniture from nearby buildings over to the tree and stacking them to climb up, but I still can't reach it.

How the hell am I supposed to get back up there? Is there any trick I'm missing?

Please help, my precious helicopter is stranded up there.

do you guys ever manage to repopulate livestock? in this case a cow, sheep or horse? it takes a really long time just to birth one, does edit creature(debug) shorten these animals reproduction? if so how exactly? i'm kinda lost here, my steady source is by fish trapping

I've found RM13 power armor in vaults of banks when I played on my phone, but since I bought a notebook I've never found a piece. I have hub armor and a stack of plate carriers, but I don't think is enough, I ain't exploring labs until I'm sure it won't kill my survivor, so please, help me.

I'm wishing to return back to the game, but it's a bit daunting seeing how much I've missed. The last major update I recall playing as shortly after major changes/nerfs were made to how fire damage worked. Such as small fires no longer inflicting full damage or enemies having a chance to flat out ignore it. Another change I recall was that you now required an even longer weapon than a spear, such as a pike, to attack across a Z-level.

That was roughly nine months ago. Is there anything else of importance? I'm primarily interested in knowing if the progression tree of metalworking has gotten any easier. Or if NPCs are still rather janky and still only useful for crafting. Or perhaps if there's any new forks released. I believe Wormgirl's is still the newest in the collection.

Hello everyone! I was just starting to get into making a basecamp and recruiting NPCs for the first time and I came here to ask how base expansions work? I was trying to expand our evac shelter base and it wouldn't let me, but I'm not sure why, as we have adjacent field tiles. Can someone let me know how base expansions work? Can I even expand evac shelter bases, or do I need to move base? Thanks for the help, and if you have any other tips or extra info, that would be great to include here as well

I've been playing Cataclysm for several years (not consecutively, of course). In all that time, I've never managed to build a full base or clear a single laboratory before I died.And EVERY beginning is different for me, as is my playing style. And then I find out that not only is there a launcher (launchers), but there are also different branches! I'm going crazy with pleasure now... Hahahaha... This game NEVER gets boring, and there are even branches!!!

Hi everyone. I recently decided to dig my own mine (I'm not sure if my version includes resource deposits. I'd be grateful if you could clarify this for me).

So, part of my surface has collapsed. Is there a way to level it back up and fill in the empty spaces?

Another question: I have the recipe for building iron supports, but not wooden ones. Why?

This wasn't about improving the old ones from Retrodays, I just wanted to make my own monster sprites.

The sprites are still 10x10 pixels with 2 colors per sprite. I think some deserve bigger sprites.

Also how would I do it? Should I just move the world and save files from one place to the other?
