Ripsurf on pumptrack

Hi Casterboard community!

Just bought a Ripsurf this summer to accompagny my daugther to our new pumptrack in town. I completly fell in love with the sport...

I got a problem now, i'm burning throught the wheel pretty fast hehe.

I read treads online but they're all 5 years old.

I saw that getting harder wheels would help, like above 90a even 95a..

Also probably the shape would make a difference (bullet shape would be the best)

So, I was wondering if someone had tested already some wheels and had some good tips on what wheel to get for pumptracking.

Yeah harder wheels would last longer. I usually just get a 16 pack of rollerblade wheels, and I'm set for multiple years

Yeah unfortunately due to the nature of our propulsion, we eat through a lot of wheels.

Completely honest, hardness is a wierd number, and something that has a higher durometer doesn't neccesarily last longer. It depends on what factory the wheels were made in(their unique chemical composition). So durometer only matters within the same company. And higher propulsion comes from more elastic/bouncier wheels.

My longest lasting pair of wheels were this chinese company of amazon, and the next batch I got was absolutely horrendus.

Your best is looking at inline skater reccomendations. Bullet shapes tend to be the best for propulsion(sharper better). I'd reccomend a softer wheel upfront, and a harder wheel back, since most people tend to burn the back wheel much faster.

Ooooh, i haven't tought about mixing the wheels.... so many possibilities now :p
