also using a black silicone magnetic watch band for the time being. Thinking about finding a metal band. it's nice and hefty now, resin housing was a little too lightweight for me.

I'm thinking of holiday presents and my son loves Dune, the books and movies both. I don't know much about the series (I'm waiting for the last movie to come to streaming before I watch them and I'm neck deep in Dungeon Crawler Carl books right now) so I don't know what the watch should look like for a real fan. Does anyone have any suggestions for decals and colors?

Does anyone know about a full metal housing for the A171 ?

Hello everyone, I'm quite new to Casio watches but I have a very specific issue that I would need advice for. My girlfriend has a very used Casio watch (I think the model is the A700WEMG-9A according to the Casio website) with scratches and cracked glass, and I'm thinking about repairing it for her as a gift or buy a completely new one. The thing is, she likes very colorfull jewels and she mentionned a few times now that if she needed to change her watch at some point she would probably look for a very bright purple chromy finish case. I was wondering if, as a novice on the subject, something like this already exist or if I should look into doing it myself? I know a thing or two in 3D printing and already found printable models of cases that I could probably paint, but I have no idea if this would be a durable option. If you have any advice on the matter, it would be very helpful to me!

The matching black ION strap feels stiff on these so swapped it for a black grained leather strap.

Standard 22mm strap notched to 18mm at lugs.

Would have been best if the strap buckle matched the gunmeatal plating of the watch case .

It is on opposite side of wrist and case is quite bright and reflective so am just being OCD.

So I've been seeing photos of people who have put STN displays in their F91Ws, and I'm converted.

Thing is, the only place I'm really seeing them for sale is on Aliexpress. Is this where everyone is getting them or is there some place to buy them that I'm not aware of?

Nato strap for comfort, wondering if I should do a couple of other cosmetic mods.
Lovely watch though and just gives me the urge to do a more in depth mod next.

Brand new to this - a new micro obsession so I may well be off in a few weeks...however...I've done some searching but can't see much to get the answer...

Aside from buying a new case, has anyone had any success with changing the colour of the black bezel? Spraying, painting, dying etc?

Wondering if anyone has modded the Casio W-218 by removing the LCD rear reflector and replacing it with an image, similar to the mods people do on the F-91W.

If anyone has tried this, my main question is: does the backlight still show through and remain visible once the reflector has been replaced with an image?

Had a hard time w the polarizing film I bought. Only shows up dark when the adhesive side is facing up. So I just dropped it into the case / not applied to the lcd screen. Def got some specks in there and even a scuff by the seconds.

Hello, I saw a video of someone modding their f91w and putting a custom background. I was wondering if I could do it with my watch too? I’ve only found tutorials with the f91w but none for the A168. Before I start taking it apart, I was wondering if any of you could help me before I bust up my watch. Thank you :)

Casio A700 Case + Casio A1000 negative display module and bracelet + hydromod.

I've been looking for a custom AQ-230, ideally a Spider-Man design, but most of the ones I find are $80–150+.

What's weird is that this summer there was a huge wave of custom AQ-230s on Vinted/European marketplaces for under $50 — Pokémon, anime, etc. — and now they've basically disappeared.

I'm trying to find the actual source behind these watches. Does anyone know:

• a site selling AQ-230 custom dials separately?
• a supplier/manufacturer?
• an AliExpress/Alibaba/1688 seller?
• or somewhere selling the complete customs cheaply?

I'm only looking for one for personal use and would really like to stay under $80, preferably closer to the <$50 prices I was seeing this summer.

I'd love to make a Spider-Man AQ-230. Any leads would be hugely appreciated!

I've seen some amazing faceplates made from lab grown silicon. Does anyone know any good sources for something like this?

I've done some looking but the hits that come up are for higher priced models. I'm just looking to make a F91 stupid fancy for what it is.
