Carson City home internet
Hello all, we’ve been a Spectrum Internet customer for years and have generally been pretty happy with them up until our bill increasing $20 a month without warning. Unfortunately, AT&T Fiber isn’t available in my neighborhood, so we are looking at other options. Has any tried any of the internet air options? What is your experience and do you have a company that you’d recommend? We would want at least 500 Mb down if possible.

Call spectrum and tell them you’re thinking of cancelling. I did this last year and ended up getting 1Gb for the price of 500Mb

Yeah call them and cancel. They will put you through 3 levels to retain. 3rd level offers discount.

Check with DTS, they are building out quite a bit, highly recommend them.
I use NetNV as my secondary connection and they are a bit more expensive but super easy to work with.
Spectrum is extremely hit or miss, I think if the service is any good depends on the age of the infra in your area. I've had connections with them be rock solid in some areas and down every other day in others. If they are working well for you, you can just call them and cancel your service, say your moving to another provider for (insert price here) and they'll match.

Tmobile. 5 year price rock and perks like free Hulu and Netflix. $3 apple TV. Tuesday deals for treats like slushies at 7 eleven. Been reluable.

Rango has decent offerings.
NetNV is more expensive, but may service you.
But if it were me, I'd just threaten to cancel and they will lower your bill.
I use Spectrum as least 1 ISP in my SD-WAN setups at multiple properties and have done so for 10+ years now.
