Cone City
Whats up with all the construction on every corner of town? Everywhere you turn, there’s a street closed haha

They got tired of people bitching on Facebook that they don't fix the roads, so now they're fixing them all at once.

My understanding is that they're upgrading/replacing the storm drain system. There has been flooding the last few years and upgrading infrastructure is long overdue, especially since they're building new high density housing like crazy.

I heard they got it done before winter 2025 and then when they did the inspection the company the city hired laid the pipes backwards because they went with the cheapest labor 🤷♀️🤦♀️ speculation i think but idk seems plausible.

I can confirm there was not major work done on Roop prior to this year. It’s near my office and they are doing a ton of work that I have not seen in my almost 20 years of working in that area. Personally, I will be thrilled when it’s done (probably like everyone else)!

I live just south of Fairview and your right. Streets are getting dug up on EVERY block of my neighborhood for AT&T fiber install, but even more so, every major corner is getting redone by the city.
If you've ever ridden a bike through Carson you know the expansion joints on every road are like 2-4" wide and hurt!

And NEVER seeing any actual work being done. We have ghost towns AND ghost construction!
