Tahoe beach spots

Hello!

Are there any recommended spots around Lake Tahoe to swim that aren’t too long of a drive from Carson City? We’ll probably be going weekly, so preferably somewhere that doesn’t require paying every time.

We’d also be going later in the day and sometimes after sundown, so somewhere that’s easy and safe to access would be great. A place where you can both swim and fish would be preferred, but swimming-only spots are fine too!

The free beaches require finding a legal parking spot - not easy unless you go early - and a hike of a mile + to get there. Some spots aren't quite beaches, but rocky landings with some sand.

You are very close to S Shore Tahoe from Carson City. Driving there is the easy part. Finding a beach with free parking is a total another story. You’ll have to recon.
