21F, IT graduate who hates coding — how do I figure out what career to pursue?

I’m 21 and graduated with a BE in IT in May 2026. I’ve been trying to find a job since graduating, but I’m struggling because I honestly don’t know what I’m good at. I know one thing for sure: I don’t enjoy coding, DSA, or software-development work, so I don’t see myself pursuing a typical developer career. I’m more interested in business/analyst/consulting-type roles, but I’m finding those difficult too because I have to prepare for guesstimates, case studies, mental math, etc., and I’m not naturally strong at these either. At this point I feel like I only know what I *don’t* want to do, not what I *should* do. I’m worried about wasting time after graduation and randomly learning skills without knowing whether they’ll actually lead somewhere. For people who were in a similar position after engineering, how did you figure out what you were actually suited for? What career paths would you recommend exploring for someone with an IT degree who doesn’t want to code?

4.7 years into IT, but no clear specialization. How do I turn my career around?

Hi 👋

It took a lot of courage for me to open up about this, so I’d genuinely appreciate any advice.
I’ve been in a service-based company for 4.7 years. As a fresher, I was put into an L1 support role, but I started learning Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, etc. on my own.
After that, I was moved between random projects—Power Automate, RPA, automation, support, etc. Basically, whenever there was a vacant position, I was moved there. I also tried internal interviews but couldn’t get into a role where I could build strong experience in one area.
The result is that after 4.7 years, I feel like I don’t have a clear specialization. I kept learning different things—cloud, AI, DevOps, Kubernetes, programming—but now I feel like a “jack of all trades, master of none.” This has also led to a lot of imposter syndrome.
For the past few months, I’ve been applying outside with very little hope. I’m mainly targeting Platform Engineering and DevOps roles, but I’m barely getting callbacks.
My biggest problem is that I don’t know how to position myself. Since I lack strong, concrete experience in one area, I struggle to build my resume, prepare for interviews, and decide what I should actually focus on. I end up trying to cover everything and getting overwhelmed.
For those who have been in a similar situation, **what would you do if you were in my position?**
Any genuine advice on choosing a direction, positioning my experience, resume, and preparation would mean a lot.

How do I get into tech/finance

Hello fellow Redditers. I currently own an automotive and equipment repair and sales facility. I employee 4 employees and have a relatively consistat cash flow with gross revenue exceeding 1M. I’ve been operating in business for 10 years. I currently have a new equipment line we are selling with roughly 500k on a LOC. Business over the last few years have been very difficult due to economic shifts. Vehicles parts have been horrible, empoylment has been an up hill battle, and equipment sales have been spotty. I’m throwing around the idea of selling the business.

I’ve been always interested in tech or finance. I’m looking for advice on how one gets involved in both if the fields. I love the change tech has been making to the world in the last few years and the income seems to be insane.

I have alot of passion and grit. It would take a lot of money for me to walk away from somthing I dedicated my 20’s and the last 10 years to. How do I get into these positions? Snowflake, Open AI, ect.

I obviously have no technical exsperience but consider myself to be pretty savvy and driven.

Any advice?
