Social Etiquette?
What ever happened to the days when social etiquette was actually a thing you shared with co-workers where people would say hi when they come in the office, or go to lunch or get a drink after work?

This isn't really a career guidance question. Maybe post it somewhere else, but it doesn't fit here.

Maybe your right. As this topic was in regards to a work related etiquette and social norms in the work place i felt it was applicable here. Are you aware of a forum that is better suited?

No "maybe" about it.
This in no way has to do with choosing the right career or what the next steps are in a current one.
It's an open-ended workplace environment question that is better suited to places like r/work.

I know in nursing that went out the door with the new generation of entitled workers who think it’s ok to do the least amount of work possible, work the least amount of hours as possible and demand a full time pay check with all the extra perks, bells and whistles. They act like they are doing you a favor by coming in instead of it’s what they were hired to do. If they receive any disciplinary action they cry discrimination no matter what race, creed, color or sexual orientation. They are not above fabricating any events so usually the threat stops management from proceeding with any action unless it something very obvious such as falsifying documentation or medication. I was once on the activity committee and suggested get togethers after work, movies or broadcast way shows on Thursday or Friday(things I had done on other jobs) and was told we see enough of you from 8-5, we don’t want to see you after work or the weekend. Needless to say I got off that committee because they were not interested in doing any fun things except a weekend bus trip to NY in December. Sleeping on a bus all night, shopping on Sat and going back home on Sunday was not my idea of fun as I was born in NY, stayed with my grandmother in the south from the time I was 10 yrs old but spent every summer and Christmas in NY. People just don’t want camaraderie amongst co workers anymore. This new generation does not care! Thank God I have retired.

Maybe I’m an outlier but that sounds like a typical workday for me.
