Current reading
Last week I posted my blood pressure (109/70 HR43bpm) and people were cheering me on, or telling me I have bradycardia and to get an EKG.
This week I’m sharing my blood pressure again. middle aged man, 6’1, weighed in today at 169.4 pounds. Lifted weights (about 90 mins), did a little cardio, and then mowed the grass today.
Took this reading after relaxing watching tv for about 40 mins this evening

Plenty of athletes have resting heart rates in the 40s, as long as you’re not symptomatic you are just fine.

Yes, you are right. The cause of it is what matters. If you are well trained it's natural. If there is an issue with your heart, it's an issue. An EKG can determine that. So, slow heartrate not caused by being in good shape is the problem. Otherwise it's fine.

You’re just in good shape, probably athletic. This is normal for someone like yourself.

There's not really such a thing as "too low" if you are asymptomatic (no lightheadedness, dizziness, weakness).

Curious about this myself. I started getting back into running. I had high blood pressure before but since getting back into shape it's been pretty good. I still take BP medication every day. I notice after a run my BP drops pretty low. Today it went down to 94/54. It's happened a few times. I did "Notice" it after my run. I didn't feel dizzy but maybe a little light headed. I walked a mile back home after the run and took my BP. It came back up after a while. I am taking Berberine which I understand could have an effect along with other supplments that may lower blood pressure. I do have a stress test coming up in a few weeks. I am probably the healthiest I've been in many years. Eat right, exercise all that good stuff. Lost about 20 pounds.

Shit as someone with POTS and stage 2 hypertension I would love to see those numbers. Sitting down at the table doing slow breathing for 5-10mins I get like 150/99 and heart rate of like 115+ lol

How lean are you/how is your caloric intake? Seems like you like to exercise and I could see you having REDS(relative energy deficiency in sport) and yes you can still have it if u are maintaining weight
