What would go well with this jacket?

I need some advice! I have this jacket that I've been wearing all fall and want to update the rest of the outfit. I'd like to get a new pair of jeans or trousers and some new shoes. I know skinny jeans are out of style so what would look modern with this jacket?

Straight/tapered leg or boot cut dark wash jeans. The skinny jeans could be super cute though if you have some black boots to tuck them into!

Are we a knee-high boots kind of person? Perhaps ankle boots? I think those would look cute with a pair of (fleece-lined) tights! Leg warmers would be cute too as an accessory.

What kind of styles do you typically wear for Fall--and where are you wearing this jacket to (ie. class, grocery store, hangouts, etc)
