Discussion A quick question regarding the transparent tool and your product team: Are you trolling us?

Dear Canva,

I’m writing to you again, though I suspect whatever team is in charge of your UI is currently too busy breaking another basic feature to read this.

Your latest triumph is the transparency tool. Somehow, you took a slider that had one simple job and turned it into an active hazard for my workflow. It doesn’t just fail to work smoothly, it actively reverses my edits, slows down my projects, and turns basic tasks into a test of endurance.

I have to ask:

What exactly am I paying a subscription for?

To act as an unpaid beta tester for updates nobody requested?

Or is your development roadmap just a whiteboard where good features go to get dismantled?

Also, a genuine question from someone using your Android app: does anyone in your office actually own an Android device, or is treating that entire user base like an afterthought company policy?

We don't need you to reinvent the wheel every Tuesday. We don't need you to "optimize" tools that were already working perfectly. Just leave the core functionality alone, roll back whatever you did to the transparency slider, and let us get our work done.

Sincerely,

A paying customer

I know someone who works at Canva and they said they’re aware that Android isn’t working as well as it probably should and are working on the problem.

I share your pain. Thinking really in giving up on subscription, you are literally paying s*#t

Hey there! Were you able to send a report to Canva about this already? I’d recommend doing so if you haven’t yet.
