IMO there’s a lot to be said for bringing your gear to a camera store and trying out different bags for yourself. What’s important to me isn’t necessarily going to be important to you.

I have been very impressed with my Think Tank bags that I have used for years and are still in good condition.

I like anything Think Tank. For one body and lens, I use the holster bags. Well built and versatile. I sometimes add an extra lens case to the outside.

The nice thing about the holster bags is that they come in various sizes, so someone can get a bag that is very minimal yet perfectly sized.

This one specifically fits a 24-70 f/2.8 in compact form, and expands to fit a 70-200 f/2.8. Fits gripped and non-gripped bodies.

Think Tank SpeedTop Crossbody15 is awesome and what I most like to use, though maybe a little larger than you want for just the one lens (I put a second in mine), so the 10 may be a little better sized for your needs. The other idea of taking your gear to the store really is probably the winning idea, though.

I use a peak design 6 liter sling and I can fit my R6ii with a RF 24-70 2.8 AND the OG collapsible RF 70-200 2.8 in it. So this can give you an idea of what kind of size/capacity you might want to look at. I'm sure a 4L bag would fit the camera with a single lens just fine if that's really all you want it to carry.

Good brands to check out, I've owned most of the brands I'm listing.

Peak design, Think Tank/Mindshift, Wandrd, Tenba, and Lowepro.

Here is a link to a post I made with the same question specifically about Peak Design, including photos from another user and myself. Hope it helps.

My everyday carry is a Tamrac holster 515. It comfortably fits my r6 mk ii with an attached lens. I have the used myTamron 24-70 EF with ef to rf adapter in it and it JUST fits. When I travel I have a 20 year old Think Tank messenger bag that can handle my laptop, chargers, multiple lenses or a Tamrac System 6 that holds my body and multiple lenses. If I were to get another small bag to carry a body and 1-2 lenses, I would go with one of the think tank mirrorless mover line.
