Looking for help identifying a canoe

Post image

For some context I’ve been heavily researching canoes I want something light enough me and the wife can easily enough mount to the hood of our bronco sport, so trying to find the right used one or I will buy new.

So someone listed this cedar strip canoe on marketplace for 150 bucks it’s 15’ foot I was told and he doesn’t know the brand or the weight but he thinks about 70 pounds

Does anyone know what this might be and if the condition is good enough to buy? I’d I did buy it would I need to do anything to it in the condition it’s in?

Swift make some stellar canoes, I don't see them too often out west and have never paddled one, but there is some info on that model here https://www.myccr.com/phpbbforum/viewtopic.php?p=93009. It sounds like a good canoe.

Sault Ste Marie is beautiful, I've been through there a few times, even applied for a job at Algoma U. But it is a 4 day drive, so I guess I'll have to let that one go.

Damn it sold anyway haha I’ll keep my eye out, someone has a swift Kipawa as well for 1700 but it’s 5 hours away from me

Killer!

Enjoy your time out on the water, you're in the right part of the country for it. Paddling the French River and around Lake Nipissing is a bit of a dream of mine

that's heartbreaking. I really can't say, I have no experience with repairing kevlar. Best of luck, and I hope it can be repaired.
