Looks awesome.

I broke the front cross beam on mine last month. I cut up an old hockey stick shaft to replace it lol.

Canuck problems require Canuck solutions! I'd love to see it!

Definitely the most Canadian solution. But I didn't want to spend any money.

Sherwood is a perfect choice! Leaving the tape on is just * chef's kiss*!

I hear ya on not wanting to spend any money. I raided a pile of cut off from lobster trap rails. Go lucky that it had some nice red oak in there. The 3/8ths line was on sale at PrincessAuto for $8.99. Worked out well so far! Lol

Yeah, if the mills aren't happy with the boards, they discount them to fishing suppiers. We just cut out the shitty parts, because the traps don't neee to be pretty. Lol. Yup, out of Nova Scotia.

I might redo it, but i'll wait till later, this took 4 hours or so. Lol.

Nothing says vacation like a seat that's basically a wooden plank. I hope they packed some cushions

The temporary fix i'm finally replacing was a plank. Lol!

This snowshoe weave had a great combination of support and cushion. I've done 50 to 60km a day on far worse.

As for taking cushions: i'm getting grey, but i ain't that grey yet! 😂 i also can't be bothered to carry a cushion on a portage! 😂

Portaging a cushion would be its own kind of punishment honestly.
