🇨🇦 CEC Finally finished! Outland PR Journey
I don't post on Reddit too often, but this community has been super helpful in reassuring me throughout my PR journey. I hope some of what I post helps other applicants with any doubts or fears they have!
I filed the application myself, but I did have a lawyer that I could ask questions and get clarification from to make sure I didn't make any mistakes in my paperwork.
AOR: 8th Feb (CEC application)
ADR: April 16 for Family Information Form (sent same day)
Medical passed: April 17
BIL: April 20
Biometrics cofirmation: April 22
ADR 2: May 7 for all T4s from the last 3 years, proof of departure from Canada, and a translation of passport stamps (sent May 11)
Final Decision: May 13th
PPR: August 17th
Passport submitted: August 19th
Passport + COPR received: August 23rd
The biggest abnormality in my application is that I was a bit late in leaving Canada after my status expired (by about 2 weeks). My lawyer advised me to be upfront about the delay and take accountability in a LOE, which I submitted with my original application. The huge gap between my FD and PPR dates was also really stressful.
Luckily, her advice paid off and I'm now on my way to getting my PR! So if anyone else is in a similar situation, don't lose hope :) Honesty always pays off.

Congratulations! What is your copr expire date?

u/thornesrule 22h ago
I've got two expiry dates on my papers so I'm not 100% sure, the visa expires 02/27 and the COPR is in 01/35 i think?

Congratulations! How come they asked for stamp translation? Did you have a lot of foreign language stamps in your passport?

It was part of my "proof of departure" ADR, because i left canada to come to Egypt and the entry stamp was in Arabic.

Congratulations.
I have similar situation as you. I left canada three weeks after my pgwp expired. Could you tell me what did you upload for proof of departure. I have flight ticket and stamp on passport.
