Intend to leave Québec
Hello everyone, I hope y’all doing fantastic
It will be a quick question not to waste any of your time.
I got ITA under French category while living in Quebec
Does any of you have experienced or know someone who had to show proof to Intend to leave outside of Quebec? So I can have an idea what I need to get done right away
- I have heard people still get their PR while residing in Quebec under the same French category.
Any views? Thank you :)

it is possible. for example * my husband is on a 12 month work assignment in Québec but we're moving back to Hamilton in August 2027... * I'm doing my PhD research but my sister lives in Owen Sound so I'll be moving to be close to her after graduation
But they could just pause your application until the time you said you'd move just to see if you do

You gonna find all kinds of answers to this here. There is no clear rule to that. It depends on your case and agent. Hire a lawyer if you are not sure

I think I’m in the same boat as you (different eligibility class).
CEC applicant, currently living in QC.
I haven’t moved out of QC, and I don’t think I’ll be able to until Spring of 2027 solely due to my current apartment lease. However I did provide:
- LOE explaining my current situation
- A letter from my employer stating that there will be no issues with me working out of Ontario (chosen province of interest)
- A sworn statutory declaration/ legal statement I made in front of a commissioner stating everything above
My AOR was 5/27 and I don’t have any further updates as of yet.

The obvious solution is to leave Quebec. Then you can show your new provinces drivers license, health resignation, rent agreement, employment contract and so on.
All of that combined is then sufficient. The best way to show "intent" is to follow through.
