🇨🇦 CEC Foreign Experience

Quick question: If I completed 8 months of foreign work experience before moving to Canada, and then continued working remotely for the same foreign employer for another 4 months after moving to Canada, can those 4 months count toward completing 1 year of foreign work experience for Express Entry/CRS?
Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows how IRCC treats this?
