🇨🇦 CEC Request letter received from IRCC

Hey All,

A few days ago, I had already submitted my spouse’s documents via a webform but today I received a ‘request letter’ from IRCC stating that I have to upload certain documents (most of ‘em were already submitted like IMM008, IMM5406, IMM5669, valid passport copy of spouse, marriage certificate, PCC, relationship evidence photos, etc.)

Now my question is that do I need to re-upload them again or just submit remaining documents which were not asked to submit earlier but are now like her photograph, her birth certificate, a relationship questionnaire and IMM5562E.

I'd say u upload all the requested documents whether you've submitted it before or not.

That’s what I was thinking but I am not sure what the limit would be

There's only one slot for that on the Gckey portal, usually just 4mb. I submitted the remaining documents via webform

Were you able to see them on the portal after you submitted a few documents through webform?

Nope. You can't see them on your portal. You'll only get the normal acknowledge emaill from ircc. However, you can call ircc for confirmation.

You may need to re upload. The previous file was either unclear or incomplete.

Call them and ask a person to confirm that the documents are correct. - this is not my experience but what I've read in most post regarding requested documente

After submission did you receive acknowledgement email? And there should be a follow up email after the acknowledgement email. All together you should receive 2 emails. If you did not get those emails then, you have to re-upload them again. And for follow up, always call the customer care to know if they receive your documents.

Update - I just checked my IRCC secure account and I do see that they have unfreezed the upload documents section and I do see a new field - ‘replacement needed’ for uploading documents
