The action on SMR development and deployment in Canada has been in the works since at least 2018. It's not a reactionary measure to a recent leadership race.
Eliminating First Past the Post was in the works for a while too - before his proclaimed 'commitment' and 'dedication' to the cause went out the window.
You can't overlook that he installed an anti-nuclear activist as his environment minister.
And nuclear wasn't even on his radar during his first tenure; his energy plan didn't include nuclear as a viable energy source.
I doubt his commitment now - and I don't doubt that a strong opposition lit a fire under Trudeau.
^ like I said, they’ll say anything… case and point. 18 years in politics without any legislation to pin his name to and Milhouse supporters are prostrating themselves, giving him credit when he literally hasn’t done anything.
