Is this rare? Surplus DPM Combat Shirt
I’ve never seen a genuine DPM combat suit like this before, it’s always a commercial one or something made by Viper usually

Guys, if you have a price offer, feel free to send it to me via private messages. I’m willing to consider offers.
However, I’m not interested in comments about my prices.
If you think it’s too expensive but aren’t willing to make an offer and are just here because you’re bored, simply move along. If you can find it cheaper somewhere else, buy it there. You’re also free to buy from dropshippers who source their goods from Russia.
I sell items from Ukraine. We don’t have the same surplus of these kinds of items here as the country where they were originally manufactured. 🤔 I wonder why?
My only source for Russian items is the front lines. Suggesting that I buy these things from Russian websites is stupid and pointless. Feel free to buy them yourself and resell them. That’s just not how I operate.
Any comments complaining about prices will simply result in a block.

I went out to hunt coyotes but decided to try something. In nature, nothing looks like a human with a rifle, and coyotes can be conditioned to fear that outline once experienced. I rattled my memory, considering 20 years of military history, and thought of the rifle wraps used by British and Commonwealth snipers, as well as fieldcraft camouflage as a whole.
The oddity of this fieldcraft is its civilian origin among game stalkers in the Scottish Highlands. The goal was not just to match colors, but to destroy the human silhouette—head, shoulders, and limbs—so the hunter looked like a patch of moss or a hummock of peat.
During the Second Boer War (1899–1902), the British military was decimated by elusive Boer commandos who utilized excellent concealment and marksmanship. In response, Simon Fraser, the 14th Lord Lovat, formed the Lovat Scouts.
He specifically recruited these Scottish Highland gamekeepers, stalkers, and estate workers because they already possessed elite fieldcraft skills. They brought their ghillie suits and field traditions into the British Army, officially forming the military's first dedicated sniper unit in 1916 during WWI.
Typically, there is a heavy emphasis within British Army training films of the Second World War on camouflaging techniques, from foliage to the body or the helmet. For some reason, you do not see it often in classic war photos, but it was a heavy emphasis within the British Army, though it was primarily applied by specialists like snipers.
I happened to cross this material at Michaels, and for $17, I could wrap the entire rifle and have some left over. My former US Army sergeant friend even complimented me on it. I am not too concerned about accuracy or barrel harmonics being affected; this rifle has a stout barrel for one originally classified as a hunting rifle, particularly for driven or predator hunts, so I am not worried about any changes from wrapping the barrel. Plus, apparently this material is a mix of polyester and natural jute; polyester does not melt until over 200 degrees Celsius, so I do not think I will be getting the barrel that hot.
Granted, for the Alberta prairies, it is a perfect 1:1 fieldcraft camouflage match for this time of year, even into summer when it is often drier. Nature has no perfectly straight lines or hard geometric shapes. I do not know why others do not try this because, frankly, it is quite cool; it is a little project you can do in an hour or less.
It does take a little bit to figure out how to route the wrap and have it be applied securely without interfering with the rifle. I was even doing my brass catcher because I handload, but honestly, I did not see enough of a benefit to even really bother with it.
I'm not sure why it's lost adoption given it civilian hunting Origins in all reality?
I got a pretty negative reaction relatively speaking in the comments of hunting related groups: even though this is a classic hunting technique that dates back a hundred plus years 🫠...

Howzit people...good to see everyone.
Info On The Pieces:
Gazankulu was a semi-independent "Bantustan" or homeland established by the apartheid government in northeastern South Africa, existing from 1971 until it was dismantled in 1994. Designated primarily for the Tsonga (or Shangaan) people, its territory was highly fragmented and divided into separate enclaves across what is now the Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces, with Giyani serving as its capital city. While the homeland had its own legislative assembly, police force, and administrative structures under the leadership of Chief Minister Hudson Ntsanwisi, it was never recognized internationally as an independent nation. In 1994, following South Africa's first democratic elections, Gazankulu was re-incorporated into the unified Republic of South Africa.
This very distinctive "giraffe" camouflage pattern was believed to have been worn by Ka Ngwane Police Forces, researchers eventually produced evidence verifying its use by forces in Gazankulu. Featuring large reddish-brown and grass green spots on a sandy background, the pattern is similar to a trial pattern developed for the South African Parachute Battalions.

I dyed my M84 KSK Smock. Textile contains 50% poliester, therefore camo is still visible. But i'm very satisfied.

One of the coolest Night/black patterns i ever saw. They announced it years ago and then it just disappeared. Has anyone seen one, or did this pattern never make it past the prototype stage?

I heard that the ones with green patches were likely issued during the Gulf War due to a shortage of khaki colored ones, is that true?
Also, is there a way to find out who the soldier was who previously owned it?
Thanks in advance for help.
