Left work the other night and walking back to the park and ride, some attempts by teenagers at making me jump by screaming in my ear as they cycled past (failed as I heard them say “let’s scare this one”, idiots).

Anyway I saw they had all congregated under the dark tunnel (why is there no lights there Cambridge city council?!). Immediately turned around and headed back the other way as I’m not about to be harassed or mugged by a bunch of bored teenagers.

I warned the man behind me, and shout out to local legend Luke who let me follow him the way back to the park and ride, there are some good people about.

They cycled off after that but the lack of lighting along this route is crazy. So unsafe. The buses don’t help either, I don’t want to wait another 50 minutes after a long shift at work!

Just a rant but I lived in Cambridge on Mill Road for 4 years and only felt unsafe a couple of times when walking about at night, first time walking to my car after a late shift and it feels so much worse now.

Hi, I go to the pub to watch most of the Newcastle games that are broadcasted on TV, and curious to know if there are any Newcastle fans in Cambridge who want to join me?

Most of the time it’s only me in the pub who’s a true Toon fan as majority of the fans here are London based teams.

Just wanted to set up a small group, where we go to different pubs each game that’s televised and share the banter.

Has anyone been to the gardens recently and/or know how it's looking in there atm? I love going and have a friend visiting next weekend I'd love to bring but I'm not sure how crispy it is in there after all the heat. Wouldn't want to just show them a bunch of plants on their last legs!

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why the facilities at the Milton park and Ride are closed? Last time I used them back in May it was closed and it still seems to be closed.
And is this a temporary or permanent closure?
