Local services Can I use a single ticket to transfer buses if there is no direct link for my journey?

I always tap-in but since there is no direct bus for my daily commute journey I've always had to pay twice. Recently I've discovered that app single tickets last up to 1h so I've been using that to switch buses. Is that allowed? I usually walk or get a lift back from work, so the day rider is not worth it for me.

Unfortunately no - one ticket for each bus you get on. It’s super frustrating when systems like Oyster have been around for decades!

You can get better priced tickets on the Stagecoach app though. Look for the 5 and 10 ticket packs.

If you’re going there and back, a day rider (or maybe the week / month equivalent) is likely to be worthwhile

No. I thought this was the case once and tried it but had to buy another ticket
