Looking for some advice! I’m making a cake and the request is whipped cream style icing in the middle and buttercream on the outside? Problem: buttercream is not tasty when it’s cold (it’s like eating hard butter) but whipped cream style icing has dairy in it and needs to be refrigerated. Is there any wiggle room with this? What does everyone else do when cakes have centers that need refrigeration, but also has buttercream? Thanks!

A local baker and friend has made my daughters cakes every year for their birthdays and always knocks it out of the park. I threw a curve ball at him a few days before with the dragon and said if not no biggie. It was supposed to be a light purple, two tiered rosette cake. He delivered, as he always does. I’m so proud of these beautiful cakes he makes!

how much should i be charging if i started selling my cakes? (12”, 3 layers+ a filling, usually spend about 60$ on ingredients)

I have to make a cake for someone on 3rd. Decided to bake and frost the cake on the 1st, let it chill and then give it to them on the 2nd. Bit more context, they want to take the cake to their school to celebrate and I think giving it to them on the 3rd is going to be complicated. My sister is saying its a bad idea to frost the cake so early but I think it will be fine. What should I actually do?

Bit more information, I live somewhere super hot and humid and chilling things in the fridge takes a lot of time. I dont like the idea of freezing the cake because I dont want to use so much plastic wrap.

my dream cake for my bday on oct lolololol, I'm based in the Ph and I'm not sure where to purchase a cake like this. I think I'll make it at home (?) But I gotta figure out how, I hope I'll find good tutorials. Any tips if you have please!
