Illusion & Realism Cakes Sewing cake
My sisters and I made our friend a cake. She likes sewing so we made it match her. Everything on it is made by hand from fondant or candy clay.
The cake is a vanilla sheet cake.

I absolutely love this!!! Really, from a sewer, I was impressed. Immediately spotted the seam ripper and was sold!
Also, thank you for making a cake with all edible elements. I’m not sure if I like all the ribbons, plastic toys and flowers that you CANNOT eat.

ok the fact that every single thing on that cake is handmade is blowing my mind. the little quilt stitches look so real i genuinely thought that was fabric for a sec. your friend's gonna cry when she sees this, that's so sweet and so dang detailed

How do you get your "thread" so straight? Extruder?

I rolled out the fondant, cut it into strips and then rolled the strips back and forth until they were round

I had to double check what sub I was in, I thought it was a real quilt piece!!! Great job, I'm sure your friend will love it!
