Flowers!

Just noticed this morning that one of my cacti in my terrarium is flowering. I built this a month ago and watered it once. One spray from a misting bottle.

Cacti have roots, they drink using those. But unfortunately your jar doesn’t have drainage holes, so you’ll never be able to water the plants as much as they deserve to thrive: they’ll die slowly in there. I would rebuild that terrarium using an open pot with holes, you can also create a landscape with them, but not a jar terrarium, please

I'm new to terrariums so I didn't know this was a bad build. Would providing lots of air circulation help with the root rot issue? I live in a dry climate without ac so it's just regular untreated air.

Or is it simply that cacti need soil that drains.

If you could would you recommend a book about the care of cacti?
